We do not "have to" anything. We should. I smell a coward.

First there is no draft, chicken little, we don't need one, patriotism is still alive and well and enlistments are meeting the need, and when we did have a draft women were NEVER drafted.

As far as Israel needing our help to kick some Arab a$$--what a laugh. They have a history of, and are once again showing appitude for, doing just fine in that department on their own. However, Newt was dead-on right when he said that we need to step up and be ready to help them if they so desire. If Iran decides to step out from behind the curtain and make it official (rather than just sending out Hezbollah as a front for their dirty work,) then we should be first in line to get some.

While Russia, China, France, etc. are calling on Israel to show restraint and caution, does anyone doubt what Putin (or any of the others--except maybe France,) would do if their sworn enemies put 10,000 short and medium range missles within striking distance of some of their major cities? Or what they would do when those rockets were fired into their territory? Or what they would do when their military posts were attacked, their soldiers killed and other soldiers kidnapped and held for ransom? Would they show restraint and compassion?

Actually, I think Israel has shown restraint. They have attempted to avoid civilian deaths, however, Hezbollah, hides their missiles in civilian neighborhoods, while they target civilians in Israel. What a bunch of cowards. Something you can relate to Herr Chickengrubber.

Israel is one tough small state, with all the American weapons and training that one small government can have. You have to remember that this area of conflict is about the size of New Jersey. Small potatoes. They have the will, the weapons, and the training to kick any fourth rate organization out of the small area they have chosen. If other nations get involved, their armies will fall quickly too. These are just thugs and the uneducated in uniform, not much of an army. They will fall apart when a trained army with superior weapons take them on.

Like Iraq, the Army isn't hard to defete, it is the cowards that come after!

Probably the US Government will continue to be subservient to the Jews for some time to come. I don't think that there's a way to fix our political system from within the system. So, yeah, the US government will keep forcing Americans to pay taxes, and it will keep sending some of it to Israel, and it will also grab American young men and force them to go fight Israel's wars in the Middle East. The US government is betraying us, but stopping it involves breaking laws, and getting away with breaking laws requires a revolutionary organization, and forming a revolutionary organization requires communications. The Jews control the media.

I have attached a critique on Walt and Mearsheimer (see link below).

One thing to consider is that Israel is merely one of the fronts of a much bigger global conflict. Bear in mind that Hezbollah in Lebanon is controlled by Syria and Iran (who provide $100 million per year for its budget), and that in turn Iran's strings are pulled by other agencies such as Russia and China.

The truth of the matter is that the current conflict is really one of proxies - the real conflicts are between the superpowers of the world as they try to push their influence elsewhere.

You might want to rephrase your question as being "should Israel's drafted soldiers really be expected to go to war for the US?".

I would not in the least be surprised if US boys get dragged into the conflict. Israel has for ages been using American money and American weapons to further its own personal Nazi agenda. In fact America's genuine interests have been sacrified on the unholy altar of Zionism. It is high time Free Americans stood up and tried recover their hard-won freedom. Americans are not born slaves but they had to fight a long and bloody war against the British Empire to establish and maintain freedom of the nation

I'm afraid your question is manipulative, Adolf! I suspect Kim Jong IL doesn't really care what we do with Israel, and that's probably where we'll see the first action, judging from the three aircraft carriers off the coast of Guam with tactical nukes aimed at the six hot targets in North Korea.

You'll probably be somewhat more pro-war when rockets or dirty bombs begin to show up in your neighborhood.

"Another" war? This is not another war. It is merely the continuation of hostilities toward Israel ever since they declared their independence in 1948. Iran just restated that Israel should be wiped off of the map.

Wake up people! This about right and wrong. This is about terrorists wanting all Americans and the "west" dead!

Liberty Over Liberalism!

WE don't HAVE to do anything. And Israel doesn't need us to beat an Arab nation. However they will need the worlds help to defeat terrorists. But then the world has condoned by inaction for decades.

War is not a joke. You can capture a country but to to maintain occupation is tough job. Present situation in middle east is hazy and it it not easy to predict anything.
