Made in China. These three words appear in virtually every household, office or school.

With the ban after the latest spate of Chinese-made toy and pet food recalls, there is questionable quality and safety issues of the goods, China's rights abuses, its record of pollution and the fact that American manufacturing jobs have been lost to China as reasons for proposing a ban against buy their products!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going on several states, what do you think about it for your household? How strongly do you feel about it....on a 1-10 scale with a 1 being you dont care what you buy and a 10 being will not buy anything from CHINA.......and WHY????

My thought, I will not be buying Chinese made products this year if I can at all help it......I have decided to give my nieces and nephews money for Christmas if I cannot find toys from some of the local shops in our area........So I will be rating a 10.....ABSOLUTELY NOT BUYING CHINESE!!!!!!!!!

1st of december. Stop Xmas shopping and march to Parliament via 10 Downing Street to let the Government know how the public are feeling about this government. It does not matter why you are unhappy with them. Put that on your banner.

Meeting Trafalgar Square 10:30 am.

Let the people have a voice as we are not allowed to have vote.

After the loss of the 2 discs containg bank details and other sensative information,,so 7 + million letters cost ( with stamps, production of those letters and man hours) at least £1 per letter. That`s another 7+ million pounds wasted, along with the costs of propping up Northern Rock at an estimated cost of £900 per UK tax payer how much more wasted money will it take for the government to start sacking those responsible?

I'm talking print media here, specifically media interviews. It often seems that the 'subject' being interviewed is selectively quoted/ misquoted to suit the particular agenda the (allegedly impartial) journo is running. I speak from personal experience here - I was interviewed for my local newspaper recently and the article that came out was complete crap! For example, it said that I had 'started playing piano to escape her sad childhood'....what I actually said was, 'I didn't have a great time when I was younger, but I think everyone has those sorts of periods in their life' and this was in a response to a question posed by the journo herself!
I may be going on to much about this, but people need to relise that what you read in a media interview is only one-sided - so much gets lost in translation, and words are often taken out of context just like mine were. Thoughts anyone?

This all seems such a load of rubbish, as if not wearing his uniform is going to solve anything.
Heard on the news today, George Bush himself was speaking, that he totally backs Musharraf. Why? It's not that long ago we were all told that al Qaida were training there,in camps & that osama bin Laden was hiding there! In Pakistan.
Is it because Pakistan is not far away from Iran?
What do you think?

We read that Gerry McCann thought of the BBC programme "These programmes have been useful in going over many of the facts and, I believe, emphasising that Madeleine was abducted and is still out there somewhere"

Did you draw the same conclusion as Gerry over the programme ?

We read with little surprise that the Portuguese police are preparing to halt their investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann - but insist that her parents remain the prime suspects.

Is it time to halt the case and just leave Kate and Gerry as the MAIN SUSPECTS until evidence materialises to charge them ? Or should the Portuguese Police at the very least charge the two with serial Child Neglect ?

We read with no surprise that in a Daily Star phone poll yesterday, 86% said Kate and her husband Gerry, both 39, should be charged with child neglect.

Is it not time that there serial child neglectors were finally charged with leaving three children under 4 night after night in a foreign holiday appartment while they went out boozing the night away with their child neglecting friend ?
