do they have a little photo ID badge, security pass and lanyard or something printed "official Al Qaeda member"? is it written on their clothes, turban or what?

I hate these kind of news reports.

There are several militia factions and they're all assumed to be supported by Al Qaeda so they're generalizing.
I hate it too but hey what can you do?

We are meant to have had 4 of them here in New Zealand, a while back. Staying in a motel, then hired a car & flew back out.

Don't know how they knew they were al Qaeda?
It's what was written in the newspapers.

when the fighter is carrying a photo of ben laden do you think he may be Al Qaeda. when he is shooting at you.

official Al Qaeda what do you think.
they pay membership dues.
they have Al Qaeda lodge meeting.

It's a handy hook to promote a point of view and justify certain actions. Any dead Muslim is AlQaeda. It makes the body count look good
