Yes you do go and make an appointment to see your MP they hold "surgeries" in their constituency on weekends. Get him or her to ask questions in Parliament on your behalf. E-mail them, write to them all info on them can be found on the internet. Make your voice heard, if you do not like their response tell them, write to your local newspaper if you get no joy. Get involved with local groups as this will create a bigger voice that most MP's especially in a marginal seat could not ignore. This is the problem with politics we think that we have no influence but we can. Use the freedom of information act to find out what your local authority is spending your money on, lobby them if you don't like it. Get to know when council meetings are, go if you can or speak to your councillor. You voted for them, make your vote count.

You will see from mnay of my previous answers with a political bias i quote

government is a country's servant, not its master.

This government thinks it is our master. I however do not believe any MP will stand up and tell the truth if it would damamge them in some way.

Therefore please abstain.

This does not mean not voting. Go to the polling station at the next election and write or attach to your ballot paper why you feel you cannot vote for any of the candidates. The returning officer must read this out with the results.

With enough support we can make our voices heard and change this political farce.

Tink you have hit it right on the nail and that is why i say look who you vote for and remember all those hero's who went to war and fought so that you me our children and grand children would be able to live in peace have our freedom to speak as we wish to go were we wished and could choose who we wanted to represent use in the world we have lost all them things only right we have left today is our right to vote and it sickens me to see people complaining about government and how they don't listen look at the party who promises to represent you best not the party your parents used to vote for the government are sweet and give promises they get in power and then they don t want to know you while they are living it up on mega money BNP Dave

You need to look at the big picture. You only got one vote but they got more than one vote.
