I hope everyone knows about the Sept. 12 abduction of a 20 year old Black woman who was sodomized and tortured by 6 White people (men and women). I don't see it in the news very often and it makes me angry to think that if the races were reversed, it would've been plastered everywhere. We wouldn't be able to get away from it. But, I feel that the media is really holding back b/c this was a young Black woman who was victimized. I am outraged and sickened that back-woods, redneck, sickos who would do something like this still exist. I like in the Washington DC area, so I often think that I am "spoiled" against blatant, overt racism like this. DC is a pretty much "minority rich" area (not many White people at all). I shocks and scares me that in 2007 people still harbor this kind of violent racism. It scares me more that my American news media doesn't see the value in letting us know about the ugliness of our country as well as the good. We need to be aware in order to change.

Every chanel is about the Wildfires here in Los Angeles.. its really bad. Is it the same in other states? or just here? I'm starting to get scared for watching so much news about it and the hot weather is not helping. It's scary out here, the sky is a mixture of red and gray. I'm just wondering how other states are seeying this.

Seriously. He's a relatively dapper little guy, although he's really short. He has a good haircut and his suits are well-cut. But what's up with the no tie thing? It just looks sloppy. And that scrappy beard! Either grow it out or trim it properly. If you're going to be an evil dictator then look the part. There is no reason to be unfashionable and unkempt.

I know a hurricane is different from a wildfire but I think what your seeing at the Chargers Stadium versus the SuperDome during Katrina shows what truely happened in Louisana.

San Diego has systems in place. They have been taking care of more people then those at the SuperDome and FEMA is just now getting there.

If England is a country which is sort of unstable, and the world, led by Saudi Arabia, decided to invade and bomb the country, you live in England, they are killing many people and destroying buildings, your family are dying, your home has been destroyed and you have little or no money and the Saudi's are here to stay and you don't like that.

What would you do in this situation???

There was a programme on more4 last night called opinions filmed in 1982. Basically Rushdie was sat there talking about imperialism and racism and how Britain should go through a period of cleansing like the Germans did after WW2. Anyway he opposed racism and used Blacks and Asians as examples. Today i went on wikipedia and searched him and apparently he's against the Racial and Religious Hatred Act, as he believes in freedom of speech. Is this guy an idiot? I mean ok he's againt racial prejudice, but what about religious prejudice? Prejudice is prejudice, no matter who it's aimed at -do you agree?

WHY ARE WEBSITE PROVIDERS NOT PROTECTING THE PUBLIC AND CHILDREN FROM THIS? APPARENTLY THE ABUSE IS GETTING WORSE.

More than seven websites showing images of child abuse are reported to police every 24 hours, a leading online charity has revealed.

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) said that four out of five of these sites are commercial operations aiming to profit from the trade among paedophiles.

The charity has passed the details of 2,092 sites to Interpol, national police forces and other authorities across the world so far this year.

These so called 'decent' people who pull up their noses on the word 'politics' and say "tch tch!" , why are they not able to see that politics has got a negative meaning because of the type of people who are in it! Why doesn't anyone from this generation take up the challenge of giving the word 'politics' a positive meaning??

It was on BBC news this morning that footballers WAGs are good role models for todays young girls because most of them have acheived at least 5 A-C grade GCSE's prior to marrying/ getting together with famous footballers.

This apparently teaches girls that education is important and it gets you places (because apparently a lot of these women now have their own businesses).

It didn't mention the fact that they are supper skinny (unhealthily so) and may have gotten where they are in the business world financed by their partners earnings and not on their GCSE's

Forgive me, I may be an education snob but I would hope that my children will aspire to acheive a bit more than 5 A-C grade GCSE's!!!!

What do you think of this report?
