Why are people too scared to join politics?

These so called 'decent' people who pull up their noses on the word 'politics' and say "tch tch!" , why are they not able to see that politics has got a negative meaning because of the type of people who are in it! Why doesn't anyone from this generation take up the challenge of giving the word 'politics' a positive meaning??

Hey everyone.....this is especially for the first ten answerers. Please, yaar, guys politics is not dirty, it is only tough! And yeah, i agree with da guy who says democracy is rule of the people and if most of the people are loud-mouthed ruffians, then it is difficult.
There is a solution for that as well- let there be politicians who are decent and honest and people outside the system who improve mass morality!

Good question. But do not generalize, there are many local politicians I know that have a good heart and genuinely want to make a change. There are a lot of well-meaning people that go into politics that want to create positive impacts. The problem is that these people rarely make it to the top, and the people at the top are in a situation where they are forced to deceive the public, and hence develop a negative image.

The target may not be the politicians as so much as the people you are talking to pointing their nose at politics. Every citizen, regardless of occupation, should be involved with politics one way or another.

Please convince your family and friends to be involved.

The word "Politics" itself self explanatory word.The word 'politics' comes from the Greek 'poly' meaning 'many', and 'ticks' means of course are bloodsucking parasites. It is a place for criminals, cheaters and mafias who can hide their face under power and money. Normal human being can not survive in this place. Even if someone wants to do better in this field, he will be killed are cornered. The reason good people are afraid to participate in politics is, it is nowadays treated as a big money making business. Recently you would have heared that the earth quake relief fund to the Prime minister is missing about some millions of dollars!!! A good, honest human being don't do this. Only politicians can do this!
The whole world is in politicians hand!
For example, we can explain the politics in single word, that is Selfishness.
Basically The politics starts from a family, to the street, to the district, to the state, to the country and finally to the international community who is again a part of this politics.
Even animals play politics!!
Wherever you find fight for survival, power and money, there the politics start.
If there is no politics in the world, that means everybody is honest and self disciplined in the world! which is impossible!
So, you decide yourself whether you want to be a parasite or a human being!
Finally, it is very very hard and difficult to be a politician. It is not an easy job!

People aren't scared but disgusted.The profession has touched the lowest point of human degradation and perversion and decent people don't stand a chance either in winning an election or surviving after being elected and be able to do anything meaningful as the whole system has bee corrupted and made sick by other politicos.Election means democracy and democracy means rule of majority and ruffians are in majority.What chance a minority of decent elected people have in the conduct of state and public affairs?While contending and accepting your point,it's not the politicians but the people who elect them that are responsible and are to be blamed.There are many young generation politicians who just stand and watch helplessly the misdeeds of crooked politicos as there isn't any scope for them to do any thing useful for the masses. Unless an awareness comes in to the masses,nothing can be done.
