Well, this may give you a clue about how Californians think.

I heard the voters of Los Angels city voted in their current mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa into office simply because they wanted to hear Schwarzenegger pronounce his name. lol

How many Californians does it take to change a light bulb?

(speak following in Valley girl accent)
5,001
Reason being is it takes one to change the light bulb, and 5,000 to,... like share the experience.

You're not a Californian, there's no point in expecting you to understand if you don't live here. I'm a Democrat and I voted for him twice and I'd do it again. Before he took office, CA was in the midst of a energy pricing crisis and years of delayed budget approvals. He started off a little shaky but he is an excellent Governor. Don't hate congratulate. Unlike Katrina, the fire victims evacuations was smooth, peaceful and pleasant. And you can bet we will get the aid we need. As we should since we contribute the lion's share of the country's GNP. The govenator is very savvy and an effective conservationist. You see, Californians judge people by their abilities, not skin color, country of origin, blah blah blah. That is why our state alone is a leading world economy. And that's why when we initiate something new, the rest of the WORLD follows. That's how we do. Just like all you can do is sit there and sound stupid. Go back to watching the terminator. All this thinking and stuff is sure to give you a headache.

There people go again stereotyping others. Just because he was an actor, and a darn good one, he cannot be a good governor? Kind of childish attitude don't ya think? Give him a chance. I'm sure you could do better?

I love the anti-Americans on this site. The one guy says who can ever take an American seriously. He does not mention where he is from or if he lives here, etc. If they hate us so much, stay off this site and mind your own business. They sure do seem to like our tourism business. Hopefully, Americans will wake up and stop visiting foreign countries and spending our money there. I know I've stopped.

If he does a good job then there should be no reason why he is not taken seriously.
A lot of people do love him as he is a symbol of the american dream going from nothing to having vast wealth through working hard. a few politicians could do with taking a leaf out of his book.
people respect people who sweat blood and tears and do hard work to reach their goals. which is more than can be said for a lot of people in power who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

Hi Heather, thankfully not all Americans take him seriously. See http://www.arnoldexposed.com/ for the truth about 'Arnie'...

They voted him in, so he is obviously taken seriously by them. Over here, in the UK however, he is not. But I think that it is the icing on the cake as far as the dumbing down of the American people goes. "he gets my vote, hes in the movies..... I'll be back!!!! Im gonna kick some ***!!" That just about says it all.

Why not? As long as he does his job well and is committed to the Californian community, he gets my vote.
