100 years ago, China was very weak. The superpowers at that time called China the "sleeping Lion" or the"dead lion". Now, China is catching up with the world in all aspects. Is China becoming a superpower?

He said he will veto the latest anti-terror bill. And over whistle blower rights of all things. It seems to be that if airport screeners are screwing up, or the government is, I want ti know about it. How in the world does he think taking away whistle blower rights and collective bargaining will make us safer. I guess i WANT the people in charge of keeping the terrorists off our airplanes to be well paid, and have the right to be protected if they need to expose government incompetence! Don't you?

I heard on the news last night that a law in Iraq was going to be passed allowing other countries to manage Iraq's oil drilling & supplies.

Bearing in mind that countries like the US & UK will take advantage of this - has it changed people's views on the war / people saying that it was all about oil in the first place?

On seeing the plight of the dolphins in the Far East it breaks my heart to see that mankind is still bludgering harmless creatures on the verge of extiction. My late brother was a muscisan and singer and wrote a song which bring tears to peoples eyes about a the plight of dolphins - it is as if he saw the future of the dolphins in the Far East.
My question is how can i put his song upon the internet so that people will have to pay to download as my family and I would like to donate the money to a dolphin charity to help stop any further killings. I know this is what Micky Bee would hae wanted

It seems with the Iraq war going on, most of the media attention is focused on Iran and its nuclear development, but should we not forget that North Korea has thousands of nuclear weapons and poses an even greater threat?

Why is it, that Australians (by that I mean the general population, not their gov't) hold so much anger towards Americans (many of this coming in forms of inappropriate racism) and blame the American population for voting in a government that supports a ridiculous war in Iraq, yet completely ignore the fact that the Howard government is also committed to this 'war on terror' (and yes I am aware there are only 1500 Australian troops in Iraq). Too often, I hear complaints of 'stupid Americans' who are fighting this war! Why don't Australians admit that they too, support and voted for a government that supports this war and quit passing the blame to an all too easy target. Although I understand this war would not be fought without US troops and money, the war on terror is still supported by others whether by troops or by ideologies.... By the way, I am not an American.....just sick of the bad rap they are getting here in Australia!

Ok..we all know that the government is hell bent on bringing in this new stealth tax.

Apart from the tourist industry going down the pan, can anyone think of any other companies or industries that will suffer a similar fate..?
Has anyone heard anything of a compensation package for the thousands that will be slung out of work.?
The government, who has thought this all through to the logical conclusion, with their usual diligence, has not mentioned it as far as I am aware.

Bush signed an agreement with Mexico and Canada in 2005 that will threaten United States sovereignty. He did this in secret without congress even hearing about it. This could effectively end our nation as we know it. What do you think about that?

I am Canadian and I know that most think that G W Bush is an idiot to put it mildly. But honestly what is the real thought about him? Is he liked in general or not? Or would the majority like to see him sent to Iraq to fight his own battles?

If they are innocent as they proclaim, why not turn themselves in and prove their innocence as did the thier Bosnian, Croatian, and Albanian counterparts. What are they afraid of? I'm sure they will get a fair trail something they did show to the thousands of victims killed under their command.
