The queen once said to Princess Diana "There are powers that be that we know nothing about".
Terrorist are disgusting people, but you have to ask yourself why they are acting this way? What are they retaliating against? What has caused them to do something so extreme and deplorable? What invisible power is there in this world that is causing terrorism to be an outcome?

Most of the terror groups in the world beleives
>They are suppressed.
>They are ill-treated.
>They are denied the common rights.
>They feel inferior
Once we are able to make them feel ok from the above points, terrorism will be vanishing from the planet.
They feel, they have to take weapon or move in the path of violence to attain their goals. Most of the terrorists believe there is no other way other than taking arms into their hands for their survival.
but please don't mix up terrorism with mafia activities or other organized crime activities.

You can list out any number of reasons for the evil of terrorism in the world... Still all will be true to some degree... Terrorism is not exclusive to terrorists... May be they give vent to their anger, jealousy and hostility violently and mercilessly not merely toward whoever they consider their opponents but all innocent people..
But the evil of hostility is in everyone of us in less or more degree... From insincere and uncharitable criticisms of whatever we do not like, to outright hostility and conspiracy against anyone or organisation or country that we dislike for some reason or other, the outlet is found in varying degrees ...
When economic abundance was unleashed in Europe by the Industrial Revolution in the late 19th century, did the people sit and enjoy it? The countries wanted to compete for fertile markets to sell the abundance of goods... and in the process of cut throat competition, developed hostility over their own neighbours on one hand, and in the megalomania that afflicted them with the sudden riches, arrogated themselves to colonise the unsuspecting third world countries that helped to expand their business fortunes, on the other hand.. Evil after evil... Prosperity is often a curse than a blessing... it makes people to lose their heads...
See another example... Gandhiji fought the British rulers in non violent way and even went to the extent of supporting them in the world war on ethical grounds... The British left but our own brothers - under Jinnah - wanted an artificial separation of territory that housed diverse cultures for centuries, on very narrow political considerations... Love and hostility are both found in this land and in the lands of Jesus and followers of the most merciful Budha (Sri Lanka)...
Under slightest provocation, people want to burn down their opponents... in the political-business-industry and even religious institutions... man is first a beast and a Jesus or a Budha could not make the world a heaven for all time.. The process of ups and downs follow in history... like the story of Roman Empire or Mauryan Empire or what not....
There were wars between countries in the intruded borders in the distant past... later what the historians call "total wars" or fight right over civilian towns in the air followed... then the "cold wars" of espionage etc followed...
Now the enemies are not necessarily from outside but right within each country, in the form of disgruntled politicians, unpatriotic executives, revolutionaries with numberless ambitions (but all going by the label of "liberation" from some kind of exploitation or other that nearly masks their deeper ambitions for power or revenge...). Many of them are actually funded and foamented by vested interests across the territories (with labels of ideologies of some kind)..!
OK. The disease has spresd wide and deep and it is next to impossibility to find and fight them separately or collectively... you may not know if you are talking to some terrorist in the bus, in the govt office, in the police station, in the temple / mosque, anywhere and everywhere... If each day passes keeping so many of us still whole and alive, it is nothing but a wild chance (in case you are aversed to call it Providntial..)!
IF someone who is most wise, most merciful and could summon all powers under the sky descends on Earth, there could be a chance for a retrievel... I find the like of such a person in the octogenarian Spiritualist and Social activist, Sri Sathya Sai Baba (South India), who could gather all people of diverse religions, races and countries and carry on His massive mission of spreading Love and selfless Service across the globe..! He had promised that such an Era of Love and Peace is indeed coming..
So wait in good faith, my friend, doing in the meanwhile all you could to reduce hostility in your limited ambience - in the home, in the office, in the market you visit... - and become an instrument of God who is all-love.. to bring the era of Peace on Earth!
