aren't the current Republican policies that are actually (not potentially) playing into the hands of our enemies, NOW.

Our international reputation is in ruins, our defecit is larger than the last 5 presidencies...COMBINED, we are no closer to winning this unwinnable war, Iran has been empoldened, we have defeated an enemy of Iran, torture is now supported by the US, Israel and Palestine peace is no virtually impossible....should I go on???

i think we will all agree, when the planes hit the wtc sept 11 and when the london bombings occured on 07/07, we were not expecting it at all. We were very vulnerable. My first question is do you think we are too vulnerable in general for these attacks? Whenever there is such an attack, for the first few days we remain on high alert and then it simmers down. Do you think we are too quick to do this and thus as a country (UK and USA especially) we become vulnerable again very quickly?

And my 2nd question, do you think that at some point in the future there will be another attack on the scale of 9/11, even with our increased preparation for such horrific events.

I am British and am worried for the future of our countries who are at war with these extremists.

I recently saw United 93 and it is such a powerful film. It was so horrible seeing the fear in the innocent passengers on the plane
and to think that is a very realistic take on what it must have really been like, its so scary.

I think that with the Inspi(red), Aldo's campaign, Bono's campaign, and others, we should be aiming towards fixing our own country. I understand AIDS is a major epidemic, but I honestly think we should be spending money on America's problem. We don't need that many campaigns, do we?

They hit the World Trade Centers and scared half the World by doing it, We have been expecting them to hit us again in many diffrent ways like, dirty bombs and other things that could kill millions of people in our country, shouldn't we give our Presiden due Credit for such things not have happened to us? I think the terrorists will hit us again and when they do it will probably kill millions this time.

Since Bush didn’t win, does that mean the terrorists had something to do with it?

There's been a whole lot of publicity about it. It's been heard everywhere on the news. I thought he was straight during the 80s when he was younger.

Just wondering.

With the "war on terrorism", the war in the middle east, conflicts in Darfur, the problems that still exist with the Hurricane Katrina survivors, and the fact that racism(toward other groups and inter-racism) as a problem, should we care what movies won (even though Scorese truly deserved it finally) while all the problems exist? Or is the Oscars another excuse to ignore the problems at hand?

Why is it that -- yet again -- another Arab League member is massacring its minority populations? Why is the Western media reluctant to identify the religion and ethnicity of the mass murderers and rapists?

Abu Qatada has been long thought of as Bin Laden's man in Europe. He came to the Uk on a forged passport and has been convicted TWICE in his absense of bombings in Jordon. He's encouraged Muslims to commit jihad in the UK and,I quote"Martyrs make an impact.Nations are shocked by them".See two sides to that if you will, but I see that as an incitment to kill. His 'surmons' were found in the rooms of the 9/11 attackers.
NOW Human Rights lawyers...wait for it...say he may be tortured in Jodan IF he's deported.
EXCUSE ME??!! What about the human rights of the everyday people of the UK not to die from his rantings. Why are we keeping him here when he got to this country on an ILLEGAL PASSPORT.How can our government protect us when they have HIS human Rights to consider, apparently above the rest of us?
Jordan say he won't be tortured but WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE CARE?He wanted to blow up the people of our country.WHAT is happening to the UK,when KNOWN bombers are allowed to stay here?

Have you guys ever heard about the crisis in Darfur?

There is a region in Sudan called Darfur. Since 2003, groups of armed gunmen made up of nomadic Arab tribes have been running around the ares. Calling themselves the Janjaweed, they began to attack the Christian population of Darfur.

And, surprise! The Janjaweed are a government funded gang, basically.

Thousands of people die everyday. Thousands of women and children have been raped at gun point. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled Sudan to its neighbor, the country of Chad. It was their safe haven.

Until now.

The Janjaweed have have begun to form groups in Chad, killing the people who fled there for safety.

The U.S. have done almost nothing so far. Pres. Bush signed a petition in 2006 promising to do something about this atrocity. So far he has not kept his promise.

I am disgusted at how little the general public knows about this. My friend and I are currently setting up a charity dance in North

impeach the Ba$tard and then let the chips fall where they may?

That would do it!!!!!!

They could tie Bush up so badly with the Impeachment process that he would not have time to further screw up anything!!!!!!!

I read that all presidents & vice presidents have to wear them outside the White House. But is that true for former presidents & vice presidents? I don't understand why he always looks so stiff. Maybe that's why? The secret service does still follow them around.
