Abu Qatada has been long thought of as Bin Laden's man in Europe. He came to the Uk on a forged passport and has been convicted TWICE in his absense of bombings in Jordon. He's encouraged Muslims to commit jihad in the UK and,I quote"Martyrs make an impact.Nations are shocked by them".See two sides to that if you will, but I see that as an incitment to kill. His 'surmons' were found in the rooms of the 9/11 attackers.
NOW Human Rights lawyers...wait for it...say he may be tortured in Jodan IF he's deported.
EXCUSE ME??!! What about the human rights of the everyday people of the UK not to die from his rantings. Why are we keeping him here when he got to this country on an ILLEGAL PASSPORT.How can our government protect us when they have HIS human Rights to consider, apparently above the rest of us?
Jordan say he won't be tortured but WHY THE HELL SHOULD WE CARE?He wanted to blow up the people of our country.WHAT is happening to the UK,when KNOWN bombers are allowed to stay here?

To Monkeyman,
I repect your point of view, but come on.If a man has been CONVICTED of mass murder, how the hell can you say he has a right to life.Tell that to the families of the women and children HE murdered. As far as me wanting to be a torturer myself, well i hadn't thought about it before, but if it was MY family or MY child, all your goody goody sentiment wouldn't count for ****.Sure I'd torture and execute the evil bastard..and enjoy EVERY second of it.Can you honestly say if it was YOUR child that ( god forbid) was killed, you wouldn't do the same as me?

he's been found guilty twice of terrorist activities,so he has forsaken any 'human rights' .deport him AND his family .now.back to a nice muslim country, where he'll be happy, instead of living here amongst us pigs! what a world it would be,if it were run by 'surrounded by'sand mr t m's,instead of 'idiots' like us..they would'nt last 5 minutes before the terrorists stuck a bomb up their 'human righteous ar$e!!

In the 1800's when "the sun never set on the British Empire" the troops found a good way to ensure their way of doing things was followed - yer nadgers were cut off plopped into your chops, you were then burried alive in a Pigskin , and the pigs blood was scattered over your families farmland to ruin it....
Now to be clear - I'm not advocating a return to this malicious Tyranical behaviour that victimises minorities HOWEVER - one tends not to mess about when there are severe penalties for misdeeds - all the human rights sensitivities and the legal snails pace of paper sludge that has to be trawled through is a gift to those who want to "take the P*ss" - and the taxpayer picks up the tab - where exactly is the justice there then???

We are currently engaged in a prolonged conflict with a disparate group of millitant Islamists. This group is politically motivated and their aims ultimately have little to do with religion, they want power pure and simple. This conflict is unlike most in the past in that there are no obvious targets for us to go after. So the real scumbags hide amongst the populace while young zealots are sent to die for the cause and the whole Muslim community gets unfairly branded as anti-West or terrorist.
In order to prevail we in the west need to win an intellectual war as well as the physical conflict. We need to demonstrate time and time again that our values are superior to those espoused by Al Qaeda. And one of the ways we must do this is to continue to respect human rights, regardless of the individuals involved. Lock this guy up for life, yes. Call him a scumbag, yes. But abandoning our principle of universal human rights would be shooting ourselves in the foot, just as the US has shot itself in the foot with the modern gulag which is Guantanmo bay.

He should be sent somewhere where he can not do harm but where he will not be harmed himself. Although you might not care if another human being is tortured (maybe you approve of torture and would like to become a torturer) most people consider tor tune to be a subhuman activity.
Also sending someone to death is pretty much the same as killing them. The man obviously has some severe mental health issues to act like this. Islam is a religion of peace and should not be corrupted into one of war.
Personally I would put the guy in a mental asylum until he can prove himself to be sane and not a danger to anyone. He should not be allowed to roam the streets of the UK preaching hate, nor should he be sent to death. If we do send him to torture and death all we have really done is show the world that we too can sink to his level.
People like this are tricky to deal with but if we only extend kindness and rights to those we judge to deserve good treatment then we are pretty much doing the same kind of thing Hitler did to disabled people and the mentally ill.

persoanlly I'd agree with tthe sentiment that if people are going about encouraging criminal activity, terrorism or other means of infringing other peopels human righgts then they have forfeited any rights to so called human rights protections. I dont care if thats some spotty little teenager mugging children for mobiles, burglars, muggers, bak robbers, armed criminals or terrorists.
the sad thing however is how to prove such a thing, how to prove that someone has forfeited those rights.

Ofcourse I do, we hate Muslim terrorism the comparable way we hate Israeli terrorism or the united statesTerrorism. Killing somebody for an undemanding thank you to Paradise is silly. Dude, do u think of Fox or CNN will supply us of undertaking to communicate! Al Jazeera did and grow to be instanly bomber by US Forces... To BiaB Many scholars have condemned terrorist activites, you in basic terms dont get to comprehend them, coz Muslims ought to look undesirable... on the cartoons difficulty, Im extremely shocked coz you think of its insanity if we react to those illustrations after which christians react greater violently ensuing in riots in lots of international locations over a artwork of fiction i.e Da Vinci Code... it extremely is like head i win tails you lose...

Look at what you say again. "long thought of Bin Ladens man" . for thousands of years people thought the world was flat. just because you think something is something dosent make it so. "convicted in his absence", that sounds fair.you talk about martyrs, well he obviously isnt one as he still alive.if you kill someone tomorrow this email will be found on your computer, that does not make me responsible for your actions. You seem to think you deserve more human rights than he does. So the human rights bill has been changed and some people deserve it more than others, the germans thought the same about polish people and jews.you also say "why the hell should we care?". Because when you treat people this way{innocent or guilty}you will create enemys and encourage hatred. there were plenty of irish men who died in prison but that was alright because they were know bombers. some were then found to be innocent later on. but as you say" why should we care"
i hope the rest of the world dosnt think like that

Uh... you're all morons.
Firstly, Abu Qatada will be sentr back to Jordan on an understanding that he will not suffer legal sanctions there. So anything we say is obviously extraneous.
Secondly, nations either approve of torture or they don't. If they do, well and good. If they don't, they don't send people to nations where they are likely to be tortured. Doing so makes them complicit in that crime. That's Ethics 101.
Thirdly, we believe in human rights. That's what makes us different from the terrorists. *If* we are to maintain this difference, we have to insist on human rights, *not* even for the terrorists, but ESPECIALLY for the terrorists. This is what being a civilised nation means.
Fourthly, we are obliged to obey international law. See above comments about being civilised.
Fifthly... did I mention that you're all idiots?
