Movie makers and actors are not receiving huge tax benefits of multiple billions of dollars; they pay taxes on their income.

Well it could be that some oil company executives make millions of dollars a month. And there are very few actors that can bring in 20 million dollars a picture. Most actors are starving. Also I would guess that the public is pressuring him to lean on the oil companies because of the high gas prices. The oil companies say there is a shortage but yet they have been breaking records when it comes to profits. Were talking about billions and billions of dollars in profit alone.

On one hand we have Hollywood comprised of a few millionaires but on the other hand we have trillion dollar oil empires. On one hand we have bad movies boring TV shows on the other hand we have War, and deceptive regime changes by the CIA (Iran 1953 when foreign ties to oil supplies were cut off). On one hand we have Paris Hilton and the other hand we have former ties to Suddam and Reza Sha (oil). On one hand we have actors with bodyguards and the other hand we have oil empires with ties to Black Water and other private contractors.

I can read between the lines my friend I understand the point you are trying to get across, but your allegiance to your party should not overcome fact and history. Make decisions on an individual bases relative to the issue. " I am not a Greek nor an Athenian but a citizen of the world" - Plato

What can be more American then questioning your own government. Does anyone remember the Boston Tea Party? The Declaration of Independence? Does anyone even know these days why there existed a French Revolution, an Iranian Revolution, Bolshevik Revolution, not to mention the AMERICAN Revolution. Every time I hear of someone coming up against the corporations or government policy I hear screams of anti-American, unpatriotic , etc etc and I just say to myself how ironic the situation is.

I can live with out movies. Bust can't run my car without gas. Today thought buyouts there are but few oil companies in the world today. When oil company earns billions of dollars in profits each year and the cost of oil continue to go up there has to be reason.

But of course oil companies and there executives seem to get more money and tax breaks thanks to Republican Party.

I don't need movies to heat my home or drive my car.
If the cost of movies go up, the airlines are not going to pass the increase on.

I think your kinda comparing apples to oranges.
Why is the price of oranges going up but not the price of apples, they are both fruit. Is that the result of Republicans?
