On Oct.24,1993 My aunt Addie V. McCutchen a.k.a gingerbread was murder.And her body was found behind a department store on southwest Avenue A in Belle Glade, Fla. The store is also across the street from what is now the Palm Tran Bus Stop.

POT PRISONERS COST AMERICANS $1 BILLION A YEAR

The latest numbers are out: nearly 800,000 Americans were arrested on marijuana charges in 2005. When will the insanity stop?

American taxpayers are now spending more than a billion dollars per year to incarcerate its citizens for pot. That's according to statistics recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics.

According to the new BJS report, "Drug Use and Dependence, State and Federal Prisoners, 2004," 12.7 percent of state inmates and 12.4 percent of federal inmates incarcerated for drug violations are serving time for marijuana offenses. Combining these percentages with separate U.S. Department of Justice statistics on the total number of state and federal drug prisoners suggests that there are now about 33,655 state inmates and 10,785 federal inmates behind bars for marijuana offenses. The report failed to include estimates on the percentage of inmates incarcerated in county and/or local jails for pot-related offenses.

Multiplying these totals by U.S. DOJ prison expenditure data reveals that taxpayers are spending more than $1 billion annually to imprison pot offenders.

The new report is noteworthy because it undermines the common claim from law enforcement officers and bureaucrats, specifically White House drug czar John Walters, that few, if any, Americans are incarcerated for marijuana-related offenses.

In reality, nearly 1 out of 8 U.S. drug prisoners are locked up for pot.

Of course, several hundred thousand more Americans are arrested each year for violating marijuana laws, costing taxpayers another $8 billion dollars annually in criminal justice costs.

Isreal denied trying to get U.S permission to fly through Iraqi airspace to bomb Iran. The top U.S intelligence official said that Iran is training anti-American Iraqi Shi'ites at sites in Iran and Lebannon in the use of armor-piercing munitions. The deputy chief of Hezbollah announced that it would not interfere if the U.S. and Israel attack Iran. Most U.S. intelligence shared with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) on Iran proved to be inaccurate.

Let's just say, for the sake of the argument, that most of U.S. intelligence on Iran is inaccurate, would that mean that Iran is not training anti-American Shi'ites?

If the deputy chief of Hezbollah said that they don't want to get involved with an Iran-U.S-Israeli conflict, than why do the pro-Iranians train anti-American Shi'ites? Israel already attacked them before, what's going to stop them from attacking if they are helping Iran? He warns that any "millitary adventure" by the United States and Israel against Iran....

it was because the liberal democratic media in chicago demanded the release of gop jack ryan's divorce papers...out of concern for the public they said...ryan was a shoe in until a liberal judge in los angeles ordered the divorce papers unsealed...neither he nor his wife wanted their divorce specifics to be made public..the embarassment caused ryan to drop out, and obama stepped right in.

in ww2 the u.s had artillery planes and tanks in front of troops..cause we were there to win..now we have none of that and our soldiers die daily protecting the civilians that blow themselves up..what sound strategic reason is it diffrent this time????our casualty level is nearing ww2 levels if not over the limit already...what is the reason for such a military blunder and do you think this will lower the united states as a top leading nation after all is said and done???

I personally think it's a farce. Granted there are lousy parents who wouldn't know the first thing about nutrition, but what about all the manufacturers who make garbage, especially for kids...load everything up with sugar and preservatives...some people believe they even PUT stuff in food to make you want more...certainly they load up on the sugar and salt end of things, so why the focus on parents?

The problem is that moms become the culprit...as if moms don't have enough to do with working and running a household too. Maybe if the government made it so moms could stay home and look after their kids and had some support the world would function as it should huh?

Do you think many young americans are ignorant of whats going on in Iraq, afganistan, israel, american politics,,,,,,etc.....i read a poll somewhere that 60% of a 11th grd class didnt know where iraq was.

Why dont we have more young americans marching in the streets to protest iraq, like they did during vietnam (although there was a draft, which plays a big part) However, thousands and thousands are dying( both americans and iraqis), iraq is more unstable, there is more terrorism because of iraq.

EVEN THOUGHT 2/3 OF THE OCUNTRY OPPOSES BUSH, WHY ARE WE ALL NOT STANDING IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOSUE AND DEMANDING BUSH TO STOP?!
