First thing I would do is invest 25-45% of it which I enjoy doing anyway.
Then I would give 10-15% to charities that I can watch and make sure the money is well used or well invested to create a steady stream of income rather than a one-time donation.
Then comes the family and friends, most of which would get a check for $11,000 because that is what you can give away and not get taxed. Education for the nieces/nephews and cousins' kids.

Then I would design and build a new home, buy a few cars - Lamborghini, Benz, then I would travel and play golf/tennis as much as possible.

Finally, I would start a few companies that I have in mind including an investment firm.

Here's to your health, wealth, and happiness!

First I need to get a ticket for this...I forgot about it.

I would share a good portion with those in need. In Vancouver we have a terrible homeless problem that could use some cash for housing.

It's a million a year - that is a lot of money and I can't imagine being able to blow through that too quickly. Though I could become a nouveau riche biche!

Seriously though, I would be happy with the usual prize of $1000 a week for 25 years! I would never work for anyone ever again!

Well let's get the boring answers out of the way first...for the first couple years I would pay for my college education along with my sister and brother's and remodel our house for my parent. For a few more years I would invest in a CD until accumulated enough through interest to pay for a ferrari for my best friend and a corvette, diamond necklace, private jet, summer home in bora bora and house for me. Then I would do several things I have always wanted to do. First I would start work on a garden in my backyard that would be absolutely spectacular. It would have a gazebo but not an ordinary one. It would be carved by the best artists in the world with reproductions of my favorite pictures of me and my loved ones. Then a stream would go by the gazebo into a fish pond with the most gorgeous exotic fish on the planet. For the pond's fountain I would hire an amazing Italian sculptor to carve how he viewed my personality into a sculpture for the fountain. The flowers in the garden would all have symbolic value and memories attached to them. My next projet would be to buy thousands of xmas ornaments, rent out an Embassy Suites hotel, go to the top floor, and dump every ornament into the lobby to watch them smash. Then I would go out and buy priceless items, take them out to a bridge over water and toss them over the side into the water because I've always wanted to throw something valuable (like my purse or camera) into water. Then finally I would finance my best friends first movie (which sounds absolutely amazing from what we've talked about) so that he could be a filmmaker like he's always dreamed of.

And that is how I would use all that money. If only......=)

First off, I'd take a lump sum payment because I won't be around for 25 years. Then I'd buy a modest home and car. I would make international travel plans. I would set up trust funds for my family members and donate some fof the money for the protection and care of animals.

Did you know it takes 7.00 USD to make a well in Africa..

I'd live on the interest. Finish my schooling, encourage the preservation of my culture and heritage. Give myself the time needed to meet my goal of being in the best all around health and well being. ( spirit, body, mind, financial freedom ). I'd build a modest but roomy Eco-house and live off the grid of dependency known as the 'American Dream'.

Get married to my fiance and and go to the honeymoon of our dreams;
In Thailand near Chiang Mai ( sorry my spelling may be off ), there is a refuge for elephants that were once used for labor. We'd like to go and spend time with the majestic animals, Feeding and caring for them and making an annual contribution to the care of them.. Live there of 9 months or so learn Thai yoga massage to take even better care of the love of my life. MMM and learn to cook the best food in the world.

I'd make certain that my daughter wouldn't have to worry about paying for college, just study and enjoy the experience.
Aloha.

Charity, my family and good friends first. Then I'd go buy a house, and my dream car is the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 roadster in white. So I'd buy that. I've always liked Lambos so maybe I'd buy more like a Countach and Diablo. And I'd go invest the rest and just have fun.

1. Set up a non-profit tradeschool in the province where I grew up. Hire experienced teachers, find the students places for on-the-job-training, find them jobs once they graduate.

2. Provide capital for small business.

3. Set up schools (gradeschool to university), hire dedicated teachers.

4. Improve the utilities.

5. Help out family members. Set up trust funds.

6. Keep a small fraction for retirement.

7. Go back to school myself, take up higher learning.
