It is a bunch of political stuff. Before you can get people to surrender control (in this case, of their money) you have to create a scary problem that threatens their very existance. That has been the scam all my life, and will probably be the scam all of yours.

It's hard to get an honest answer on this, because everyone has their own agenda.

Right now, the data indicate that the earth is *probably* getting warmer. Note the word "probably".

People who want to protect the environment take this as PROOF that the earth is being destroyed. People who have a vested interest in industry say that there is still doubt, that it's not CERTAIN.

The majority of the evidence is that there has been some global warming in recent years. If we continue doing what we've done in the past, it will get worse. If we change things now, it can get better.

This isn't a question with an absolute answer. We're not gonna all die tomorrow, but we're not perfectly OK either.

It's called "realism".

I think you should research the topic, and try to get as many different scientific opinions as you can.

Global warming is a serious topic that is worthy of serious research. Don't get caught up too much into the politics.
Research it with an objective view.

If you think that melting snow and ice is no big thing, then you had better know how to swim. Global warming is for real and there is no doubt about it. If we make it through 207 without a nuclear war, then you will see for yourself the effects of a warming atmosphere i. e. more powerful storms, hurricanes, twisters where you have never seen them before. Don't be like a know it all @sshole and be more decisive and thorough in your thinking and facts...........

I don't think it's political in the least bit. Whether you believe in it or not, it would be a good idea to find more efficient and environment-friendly fuel and energy sources, especially ones that take a bit less out of the consumers' wallets. The economy could adapt, the oil companies can shove it up their asses, etc etc. ;]

If we get algore to move the earth just a little further away or shut up that will fix it here. But mars is also warming might be because the sun is brighter now than in the last1000 years but lets not approach this problem logically

Its just the earth adjusting to us. Yeah it goes up 2 degrees one year and then down 3 the next... In 1970 scientists said that we would undergo another mild ice age... never happened.... they say part of the earth will be covered by water when the ice melts but ice is less dense than water... fill a glass with ice and water and leave it sittin on your desk... when you wake in the morning it wont over flow.... Hell, the scientist cant even agree on one thing... half say its real and the others dont....

It's real and is happening. It's sad that it took so long to get any real attention from politicians, but at least it's in the open now. Global warming includes climate changes, oil consumption, etc. and is definitely not just political BS.

There is also something called global dimming, which is the exact opposite of global warming. Some scientists believe one way, some the other. So confusing!

My view on global warming is this. Where is it?
I am still getting calls from work about all these winter storms. Sounds like the Ice Age is upon us.
