They are already in many cars, at least here in the US, although many people don't know that they have them. You may already have them and not know it. The car companies use this info for repairs etc, but the insurance companies and maybe the police may start using this info to tell if you were speeding, when and at what point you applied the brake and if you were wearing you seat belt. Note that in all states except NH in the US seatbelts are required by law but many do not where them, including my self.

They will probably be like the black boxes we have here in the states. Basically they can attach a machine to it and then they can tell how many miles you have driven, some give exact places & times. It is not something I like BUT what can we do about it?

I'm not sure Jane Goody would fit in one - and even if she did, judging by recent events she might only agree to get in a whites-only box.
