Why is it, that Australians (by that I mean the general population, not their gov't) hold so much anger towards Americans (many of this coming in forms of inappropriate racism) and blame the American population for voting in a government that supports a ridiculous war in Iraq, yet completely ignore the fact that the Howard government is also committed to this 'war on terror' (and yes I am aware there are only 1500 Australian troops in Iraq). Too often, I hear complaints of 'stupid Americans' who are fighting this war! Why don't Australians admit that they too, support and voted for a government that supports this war and quit passing the blame to an all too easy target. Although I understand this war would not be fought without US troops and money, the war on terror is still supported by others whether by troops or by ideologies.... By the way, I am not an American.....just sick of the bad rap they are getting here in Australia!

Jasper, I am an American, and this is the first I heard about an anti-American movement in Australia. I know about 18% of Americans still support Bush and the war, the other 82% figure it was a bloody scam to steal oil. Most of us still don't want to admit the 9/11 attack was an inside job, but lets face facts, two planes don't knock down 7 buildings, and if a plane hit the pentagon, there should have been debris at the crash site. The biggest insurance scam in history? Who knows? Odds of a couple dozen Saudis pulling it off alone are slim.

Believe me, most of us aren't too happy with the Bush administration, but we are stuck with them until the 08 elections. I can't speak for Australians, I always though you guys were cool with Americans. Tell em to be pissed at Bush & Cheney not "Americans" in general.

First and foremost Australia in a major ally in the war against terror. The Bali incident proves that Al Queda hates all free people. Where are the Aussies based?
It also appears that there is a major racial problem in Austrailia between citizens and Muslim gangs. Time to kick them out.

Australians stands with the US and the other Allied Forces in supporting the democratic restoration of Iraq .
In fact Australian women would love to go just to smack these disgusting foreign trained insurgent cowardly terrorists - fair in the testicles.
As well as the "westen armchair babylon slave" who writes lies and propaganda under the safe protection of our democratic government.

Because it was bush who forced/coerced australia into joining him on his "crusade". Frightening others is what this bush does. Threatening to drop alliance.
