The war in Iraq is high on everyone's list...what other topic besides the war should be discussed...

The environment, the economy, golbal warming, health care, immigration, domestic terrorism, the U.N., Africa-Europe-Asia, other... ?

Is the issue of Hurricane Katrina and the response time by F.E.M.A. during times of disaster, an important issue?

Basically, what I am asking....Other than the war in Iraq, which is very important, what other issue should the candidates seeking to become President of the United States, address?

we have caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq as a result of our direct interference with that country.cant we at least acknowlegde that? it may be insurgents but still because of us.it helps so much to absolve the guilt by laying the blame on insurgents doesnt it? What will it take for us to just shut up and accept (like the germans ) what we have done. an invasion of this country from coast to coast?

Despite the murder of Denis Donaldson last year, tony blair felt that this minor hiccup was not enough to hold firm against surrender to the IRA.
The obvious and convenient split from the IRA, the "real IRA" ,a suitable device to continue the terror campaing at the same time as the political farce of Gerry adams and murderer martin mcguiness.

Blairs "peace " at any cost ,you may consider noble.Unfortunately, the cost is to those British citizens of Ulster, who in reforendum ,overwhelmingly supported continued british governance.
Worse still, the message is clear, terrorism works.Murder and bomb your way to the negotiating table and then settle for a peaceful resolve in your favour.
Im so sorry for the innocents and british soldiers and policemen ,tortured and murdered by the IRA.To think it was all in vain.Shame tony Blair, shame.

I hope I don't sound like a "deer in the headlights" liberal, but in an age of instant communication, wouldn't it be somehow possible for individual Americans to establish personal relationships with individual Iraqis and in so doing magnify the good-will efforts of our troops? Wouldn't such an effort go a long way to assure the Iraqis that we are not there to dominate? I hope someone out there has the knowledge, position, and desire to make such an effort possible.

Government has many asistance programs. And where one might not qualify for
assistance at one agency, there are other agencies that help. And they end up paying anyway.
There are many disabled who are homeless because they can't get benefits. Simply
because Social Security doesn't know how it will pay out in years to come. Used to be any bum could get on it. Shouldn't we re-work the system. Get help for addicts and
weed out the bums.
Tough Times require tough choices. But we cannot afford to go to extremes and allow anarchy to develope. Find the Middle Ground.

The Ray does exist and it has a special setting to focus on and vaporize all Far Left Wing ACLU Adoring Hyper-Liberal Democrats instantly.

The Aliens have scheduled them for elimination due to the tons of toxic waste that spews forth from their mouths continually polluting the culture and threatening to contaminate the entire Galaxy!

The first to be vaporized will be John Kerry, followed by Hillary and then Howard Dean not necessary in that order!

The Coneheads have reported that Vaporization is the only way and that Rosie O'Donnell can be cured of her Diarrhea of the mouth using a full blast 1,000 Gerlaks of Xenon Ray !

The aliens say that once they eliminate these pesky Liberals order will be restored to the Universe
