Government has many asistance programs. And where one might not qualify for
assistance at one agency, there are other agencies that help. And they end up paying anyway.
There are many disabled who are homeless because they can't get benefits. Simply
because Social Security doesn't know how it will pay out in years to come. Used to be any bum could get on it. Shouldn't we re-work the system. Get help for addicts and
weed out the bums.
Tough Times require tough choices. But we cannot afford to go to extremes and allow anarchy to develope. Find the Middle Ground.

social securty is paid for by those who work. I dont want to pay into a program that gives out money to those who havent contriubted. They can go get on welfare instead, which my taxes pay for, but at least I might get back some when/if from social securtiy.
