It doesn't have to be fair. It's their news channel and they will spin it as far as they can get it to spin. If they said "Hey!! We only lost five, and we took out 250 of theirs!" It may not look like we should pull out of Iraq anymore, and people are for pulling out. So no ones going to want to watch something that makes what they believe wrong. No one will buy a paper to read a story that contradicts what they believe.

Bad news HAS ALWAYS been reported first. That's how it works, and it has nothing to do with the support or non-support of the Iraq War. The public is in love with bad news, and news programs give the public what it wants.

Now I have two questions for you:

1) Why do you think that the killing of 250 more people is GOOD news?

2) Does the killing of these other 250 people resurrect the 5 dead Americans?

The Iraq War was a horrible mistake from the beginning, and every death that occurs should be mourned--Iraqi or American.

Nice, so the ratio is 1:50. How did the other channel know that the 250 are all militants. I think the 200 are the families of the militants -- old Iraqi grannies, wives, children and babies.

popular opinion has turned against the president, against the war & in favor of the dems & their view point is "get out now b/c we are losing more & more American soldiers". If you research the news archives you'll find that a couple years ago the major news organizations were reporting the "kids playing soccer with the troops", the opening of local schools & girls attending classes, etc...these stories are now nowhere to be found, these things are still happening, yet not being reported...b/c what the ppl wanna hear is what they will hear..........

Well, our troops lives are more important than some militants...we need the reports on the status of the troops FIRST before they talk about what has been done.

Exactly, i feel the same way. Maybe they think more people will watch or liberals control the media. You can't trust what you see on the news, they never mention the strides we have made in Iraq.

sublimentar, more people would have died if saddam had stayed in power.

This is deliberate... to stir up the American public's emotions against the war, against George Bush and against the Republican party in general!
It's an old psychological trick where if it's repeated long and often enough, you eventually begin to believe it!

No one cares if the militants suffer. If they'ld mellow out we'ld be home.
