Haven't we done the Iraqi civilians good by saving them from evil people like Hussein? Isn't our ultimate goal to fight terrorism, that same terrorism which victimized us on 9/11? Isn't this whole war honest retaliation for how the terrorists wronged us by bombing the Twin Towers? Help me shed some light on the subject. I don't understand liberals' thought patterns, but I am trying to. Thank you!

Looking at the state of our beloved country, it makes me wonder if perhaps someone who was a TRUE Brit would have done a better job on immigration than all the showers of sh*te we have had since the sixties. What do you think?

I tuned into question time on BBC1 the other day to here some whiney mouthed airhead dumpling answer the question on prison overcrowding, she stated that people shouldnt go to prison for minor crimes, and to her that meant burgulars shouldnt be their. Now its well known that career criminals will start their criminal career burgiling, and wont think about anything of killing people in their own house. I would find it ironic if any the vocal minority clapping in the audience or this moronic bin where stabbed in there own home by a housebreaker and spent the rest on their days in a wheel chair felt the same way after the crime.

I'm old enough to remember the Vietnam protests, and the eventual effect it had...eventual as in over a few more years the troops were finally home.

Do you think the current protests will have any effect in bringing home the troops from Iraq?

You're a pretty vocal bunch on here, with a lot of diverse views, all welcome to express on my questions!

On Thursday, Jan. 25th I got a call from the school nurse tell me Nadia had recieved a "small bump" , Nadia was told Douglas the whole story when they got home.

3 boys , One holding her down "in the handcuff game" and one kneeing her and one threatening to rip her heart out, while yet 2 more boys egged them on and didn;t go for help.

And where was the teacher you ask?? on the bench talking to another teacher, while my child was being held down on her stomache, face in the dirt.

This happened at what is SUPPOSED to be one of the best schools around here. I am ASHAMED to have my child go to Riverchase Elementary.

NOTHING happened to the boys that did this. THEY GOT PUT IN THE THINK TANK, AND TOLD THIS WAS INAPPROPRIATE PLAY BEHAVIOUR.
i took her to the er, and they made pictures, and called the police. dhr was called. it was written up as assault 3.
teacher blew me off and said it was a game they'd been playing. This is a school system known for is show Two- A-Days show.

My fellow American Brothers and sisters...
don't get me wrong but there's one thing I can't understand.
America being one of the most advanced, powerful, and best in democratic issues, but still the people can't get their messege accross to G.W.Bush..
I am a half Arab half Irish living in the United Arab Emirates, we here in the UAE love Americans and most of us know that it is not the fault of America that all of this (Iraq, abd bow Iran) is happening, it is the American Govt. mostly the Bush Party.
until when are people going to suffer like this?
Dear Americans, please help our brothers and sisters in Iraq by doing your best at convincing your president to pull back the troops...
The War is over, now let the Iraqi Govt. be concerned about Iraqs mess..
any comments?

I am not saying that the Afghanistan war is without blemish, but feel the objective and acheivable goals make it worth going to war, whereas this is not true in Iraq.

Do you agree or disagree? And why? I consider myself to be only somewhat informed. I am not very political, but do try to expose myself to a fairly wide range of media (i.e. left-wing / right wing newspapers, CNN, Daily Show, small press newspapers, Yahoo! Answers, etc...)

G.W. Bush is doing incalculable damage to the U.S. We will pay for his arrogant, despicable decisions for decades to come. He needs to GO. NOW. Is there any constitutional way to impeach him before he destroys us all?
We are currently fighting a war for some reason or other in Iraq; we are sending more troops into Afghanistan, we have been involved in the last week in Somalia and we are threatening Iran.
Come on, folks...If we don't get rid of Bush and Cheney pretty soon, we're going to need a score card to follow the action. Why are we trying to police the world? We need to get over ourselves.
Then, there is the matter of money. I hear on the news that we are going to re-build Afghanistan. Not only that, but we're going to re-build Iraq. That's all very well and good, but when are
we going to re-build New Orleans? Not enough money, is there? Hmmm... Wonder why that is? I'm interested in hearing answers.

Over the weekend, Fatah-Hamas battles in Gaza have left 18 Palestinians dead, including children. Dozens have been wounded since Thursday night.

The two factions have again broken off the talks on a coalition government, which violent infighting has repeatedly interrupted since last year.
