you kno i am in iraq right now and i like to eat and drink and and being alive so if you cut off the money i caint do those things i know if you ge involved watching the news and how its the end of the world and all but let me tell you this when a iraq kid about 6 years old is in the rain with no shoes crying cause you didnt bring some food can break your heart

we're not killing hoardes of people. the Sunnis and Shi'ites are the ones doing the killing. if we cut funding and leave, there will be MORE killing. I assume nobody means cut funding but leave our troops there, as that would obviously be stupid.
we need to stick to the original goal - stay until the Iraqis can handle security on their own. until then, help them as best we can.
one point of accuracy, though - what's going on in Iraq is not a war. the war - i.e. defeating and overthrowing Saddam - was over in a matter of weeks. now we are in a struggle to maintain order and peace until the Iraqis can do it for themselves.

We should not completely cut off funding, since the majority of it is coming from their own oil sources. We should however get the troops home and let them handle their own country and try to rebuild what damage we have already done.

No we should increase the funding and allow the military use it as they see fit. We are far behind in military funding. We are also in need of a draft, to promote the military functions. And teach the next generations how to take responsibility of their actions.

no. do you really believe that if we stopped fighting that they will. we are talking about a war where the opposite side glories in death if they kill others too. and if they could they would leave death and chaos across the world.
