The UN weapons inspectors said there were no WMDs in Iraq. They were right. The UN's IAEA nuclear inspectors now say that Iran is NOT developing nuclear weapons.

Both were right on Iraq and both agree on Iran.

IRAN as a non-nuclear nation, signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Under that treaty, nuclear nations such as France, England, China and Russia could help Iran develop nuclear power for peaceful purposes. Meaning reactors for electrical power. As part of that treaty, international inspectors are to be allowed to inspect any and all facilities related to the program. Iran has refused to let the inspectors in. As a second part of the treaty, Iran promised not to develop nuclear weapons. Which brings up the issue of the gas centrifuges. Iran has enough gas centrifuges that if it sets them all up and runs them for a WEEK, it will have enough enriched uranium to run all of its reactors for 400 years. Now that is just not cost effective and the only reason someone would want to produce that much enriched uranium in such a short period of time is to make a nuclear weapon. Then you add the open, publicly stated opinion of their president that Israel should be wiped from the face of the earth and their recent Holocaust denial seminar and you can not only see what they are doing, you can hear it.

If you took a Psych course, you learn that seldom does a person do something without first giving some clues as to their intent. A person usually gives some hints he is thinking about suicide. A person usually gives some hints they are going to harm someone else. It just does not happen out of the clear blue sky. Iran has stated their views about Israel and the hatred is clear. Iran has also stated what they think should happen to Israel. Iran has also make their view of the USA clear.

But on the reverse side, the USA is also making it clear it will NOT allow IRAN to get nuclear weapons. But since Iran has buried their nuclear assets in underground bunkers, the only way the USA can destroy them is, ironically, with nuclear bunker busters.

Well, Iran is enfiching urainium, a prerequisite for a nuclear bomb. Iran claims it wants nuclear power. Iran has threatened both Israel and the USA. It would not be a good idea to let them build a nuclear bomb. Various sources say they are close. Iran's President Aminadjad is encouraging chaos to bring back the Mahdi, the muslim Prophet they think will bring eternal peace. One way for Iran to create chaos is to start a war.
