- "The need to be vigilant in the age of terrorism is one thing. Photographing the license plate of a poor sucker who tried to beat a yellow light in stop-and-go traffic is another." Tom Knott

- "Besides tolerating the intolerable, I really wonder why more Americans -- and more people in the media -- also don't grok that things like the TSA no-fly list aren't examples of strength. They're blatant signs of helplessness and weakness (as well political bigotry in this case). How "strong" is it to pick names out of a hat and say their bearers can't get on airplanes? That is desperation. That is from hunger. That is what you do when you don't have Clue One about who or what the real threats to "national security" might be."

Why is that people say that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world when it looks like we're falling way behind other countries? Our education is crap compared to everyone else's, isn't it? Are countries like Japan, Germany, France and China going to be better places to live within the next few decades?

I've seen multiple movies regarding 9/11 as to being an inside job. "Loose Change" on google video and various others. For something of that magnitude to take place serious profits would have to be made to justify the actions. Who recieved these profits?

Ok, heres my question. I went to a concert tonight, and when the guy onstage introduced the band, he also said thanks to the soldiers in Iraq for being over there and for keeping our freedom alive. I hear this same sentiment over and over again. How on earth does our own freedom here in the US have ANYTHING to do with whats going on over in Iraq? They arent trying to take our freedom away! Please help me to understand what the soldiers in Iraq have to do with our freedom here in the US?

Recently some crazy person damaged a statue in Kanpur and Maharashtra burnt, causing loss of life and property.Indians are leading in many fields of science, education, etc, but is it sanity to cause harm to innocent people for no fault of theirs? This is politically motivated. We should find solution for security of all statues to prevent further such untoward incidents. Then we fight against terrorism,so what is this?Any solutions?

In Jimmy Carter's new book, he makes false accusations against Israel.

He claims that in 1967 Israel launched a preemptive attack against Jordan. The fact is that Jordan attacked Israel first, Israel tried desperately to persuade Jordan to remain out of the war, and Israel counterattacked after the Jordanian army surrounded Jerusalem, firing missiles into the center of the city.

Carter repeatedly claims that the Palestinians have long supported a two-state solution and the Israelis have always opposed it. Yet he makes no mention of the fact that in 1938 the Peel Commission proposed a two-state solution with Israel receiving a mere sliver of its ancient homeland and the Palestinians receiving the bulk of the land. The Jews accepted and the Palestinians rejected this proposal, because Arab leaders cared more about there being no Jewish state on Muslim holy land.

Abba Eban famously called the 1967 lines “Auschwitz borders,” and he did so for a reason: they are indefensible

I'm looking at how many people exploit peoples beliefs for monetary gain...and boy are they gaining:

Here's a guy who says he's Jesus and is making millions:

Here's a guy who's got more money than god doing basically the same thing:

These types of flamboyant preachers are making billions of dollars a year tax free on the backs of the working class, the elderly, and people who would normally know better...the graft is unmeasurable..
