1. Ronald Reagan not admitting to the problem
2. CDC's explanation that it is a "gay disease"
3. Government inability to investigate what it was (too busy with the Commie's i guess)
4.When known, government lack of education to the nation and world.
5. Government thinking it would just go away.
Today you would think AIDS/HIV would be on the decline, but still people dont listen. In the beginning it was the governments problem, but now it is only ours. We have the education to help not transfering it but yet people still dont use protection or abstain. When will people learn.... :-(

I totally agree with earl! Why is everything the responsibility of the government???
Information is readily available on AIDS and how it is spread and how to protect yourself. People need to get their heads out of their rear ends and take responsibility for their own bodies and lives!

Not the government's responsibility. It's an individual's responsibility. Keep penises out of your butt and needles out of your arm and AIDS will be gone in 20 years.

did you know that; the US government was testing the HIV (aids) virus for a bio-weapon? in north africa in 1921? it got out of hand and spread, because they did not think it worked,because it did not take affect fast enough. they did not realize it would lay dorment in victom as long as it will.

It's the individual's job to have sex responsibly, not the government's job to protect individuals from themselves.
