Current Events - October 2006

There and a number of Muslims Fighting alongside Non-Muslim Troops all over the world and they seem to get on very well together,and indeed I have personal experience of this myself,so why instead of putting them down can we not support them and even thank them.
Whilst I am not religous I do not personally accuse anyone because of their faith,of being bad for the country and for those who want to call me a Muslim Lover think before you do so,and try to be more positive in your reply.

It was reported the other day, that in Melbourne over 300 complaints against Muslim Taxi Drivers have been received. It appears they are refusing people who have Alcohol (unopened) and guide dogs entry into their taxis. This is pure discrimination as we are in Australia not the Middle East and Taxi licences do not allow discrimination. These people should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law by the Licencing branch and the Anti Discrimination Commission, the same as any one else of any religion or ethnic background who practices discrimination.

Religion is arguably the biggest divider of the world now. The recent documentary "Jesus Camp" profile some religious fanatics brainwashing children. Oh, and the camp was held in (get this) Devils Lake. They are also against Harry Potter. :)

There appears to be more smart Democrats than Republicans but when it comes to elections, Democrats still screw up like (2000 and 2004 Presidential elections). Even though Republicans make big mistakes, the Democrats still cannot beat them !

Hey well ya know the sayings. If ya play with fire then you'll get burned eventually. Once bitten twice shy. Well ya know Steve Irwin lived his life on the line between life, and death. He made big bucks off of picking on poor helpless animals, and exploiting them on TV. Maybe the whole getting killed by a sting ray was just payback for all those times he purposely teased animals for his own personal gain. So I want your opinions on this. Every time we turn around,Bush is looking for more and ,more money (now over 300 billion) to fund the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Yes she slips through billions to keep Israel well- funded and keeps Israel well stocked with trucks, tanks, etc. Yet we hear very little about the billions of dollars in funds and equipment that we send to Israel each year. It appears the Israeli army is better equipped than our own US troops....
