Every time we turn around,Bush is looking for more and ,more money (now over 300 billion) to fund the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Yes she slips through billions to keep Israel well- funded and keeps Israel well stocked with trucks, tanks, etc. Yet we hear very little about the billions of dollars in funds and equipment that we send to Israel each year. It appears the Israeli army is better equipped than our own US troops....

A new report by the World Policy Institute examines how the United States provides billions of dollars of military aid to Israel each year and how their current arsenal is composed of U.S made equipment. Almost all of the weapons used by Israel are from the United States. There might be a couple French fighter planes that they’re using, but its F-16s made in Fort Worth, Texas; its Apache helicopters; its Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles; it’s all from the United States

We’re looking at incredible increases in U.S. military aid and weapons sales to Israel. Military aid stands at about $3 billion a year. That’s about $500 for every Israeli citizen that the United States provides on an annual basis. And then, weapons sales, most recently, since the Bush administration came into power, we’re looking at $6.3 billion worth of weaponry sold to Israel.

Israel's relationship with the United States is unique in a number of ways. And one of those ways is that essentially the United States provides 20% of the Israeli military budget on an annual basis, and then about 70% of that money that is given from the United States, from U.S. taxpayers, to Israel is then spent on weapons from Lockheed Martin and Boeing and Raytheon. Most other countries don't have that sort of cash relationship, where they go straight to U.S. corporations with U.S. money to buy weapons that are then used in the Occupied Territories.

What is happening with our troops?

Israel is better equipped than our own troops. They get the gold mine and we get the shaft. They don't allow the dissent we have here plus their own citizens are much more patriotic. The members of the Jewish faith are like family members. They fight among themselves but stand together when one of their own is threatened. Do you think the US would invade another county if two of our soldiers were kidnapped? Absolutely not, we would beg and threatren sanctions that don't work and let the kidnappers kill or torture our soldiers. I could go on for days about this topic.

Don't know currant figures in USA New& World Report few years ago Isreal was third leading exporter of arms right behind Russia and USA. Heard numerious times on radio they were selling advance tecnology to China. With what they are getting from arms sales, plus the extremely large amount of USA government bonds revenue, plus forgien aid: it seem very likley their troops have better equipment.
