There appears to be more smart Democrats than Republicans but when it comes to elections, Democrats still screw up like (2000 and 2004 Presidential elections). Even though Republicans make big mistakes, the Democrats still cannot beat them !

Here's a clue, it doesn't matter how smart or how dumb either party is. What matters is how smart the voting population is, and they've been pretty intelligent. They didn't let Al Gore fool them. They didn't let Howard Dean fool them. they didn't let Lying John Kerry fool them and they won't win next time either.

What in the world makes you think Democrats are smarter than Republicans or the reverse. I think that both parties have many smart people in them. Both parties also have many rich people in them. The reason, I believe, that the Democrats have been losing elections is that they say the same ideas over and over again. Nothing new. Worse yet what they do say comes not from the heart of the party but from the extreme left. What is even worse is the Republican Party is not coming up with too many new ideas either and is listening too much to the extreme right of the party. Maybe we should take the middle of the Dem's and middle of the republicans and make a new third party where most Americans could actually be heard.
