.or was all of the killing of civilians and destruction of infrastructure for nothing. Or maybe it wasn't really for nothing after all...since Israel needed a 'testing' site for her American-made and supplied weapons.

No,they haven't released them...It seems that there are going to be negotiations for the releas of the soldiers supervised by the UN...The soldiers are going to be exchanged with some Lebanese prisoners...
But ,yes,I think that the kidnapping of the soldiers was just an excuse for Israel to test some more weapons,other wise they would have negotiated from the start...

I don't think so. Rumor was that Israel knew already that they had been killed.

It is popular to paint Israel as in the wrong, as having taken over lands in 1947 that they had no rights to. Interesting thing is that in the last 3000 years, that area was only under Muslim rule for a total of 25 years.

Hezbollah has not done anyone any favors. Least of all the U.S. when they handed out $millions in counterfeit bills (made by our friends in Saudi Arabia on presses we sold them).

No they still have them in hopes to have several hundred of thiers released.
