God no, he didn't deserver to die. But I always had the eeriest feeling that he would be killed by an animal...just not a stingray. I have to admit, the last time I was at the Aquarium of the Pacific, I was petting the singrays in the shallow pool and I swear they hated me...they'd flip around swatting at my hand, and freak out when I'd pet them but with everyone else they were so calm and mellow. I think they can detect fear.

No, he didn't. His job was very dangerous and risky. He knew that there might be a chance he would be seriously hurt or worse. I never thought that he'd die in this way.
I overheard an acquaintance saying he got what he deserved. He said that he abused the animals, and that Steve Irwin had no respect for them. I was flabbergasted and hurt by what he said. Steve has done wonders for the animal community.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. His widow is saddened by his loss. She lost her soulmate. Keep your insensitive comments to yourselves. Who are we to say he deserved to die? Who are we to judge him and his actions?

"Deserve"?
Here's your reality check...
1. Everyone dies. If I read my world religions book correctly, only a handful of claims are made for people who escape death. The rest, billions and billions, all died or will die. I will die someday, and so will you. It's not a penalty for doing anything wrong.
2. "Deserve" is a term which you need to define. Do you mean, did he do something risky, and one day his luck ran out? Do you mean, he did something bad, and his bad karma caught up with him? Do you mean that God was displease and smote him? I guess I don't understand the term "deserve" here, and I'm betting that 5 minutes of conversation with you will tell me that you don't know either.

The only people who deserve to die are the murderers
who have been found guilty. So, to answer your rather insensitive question...no, Steve Irwin did not deserve to die.

Steve Irwin doesn't "tease" animals. He was a great example to us all about how we should love and respect our environment. No, I'm not a tree hugger, but I sure as hell hate it when people say shite like this. What you say is bullshit.

Steve Irwin knew he was going to die, for you see, God sent him here to die, for you and me. After he is resurrected, he will be more powerful than ever before. It works somewhat like that whole Obi Wan thing from Star Wars.
Wait a little while and you'll see an undead Steve leading the army of God against the forces of Satan on the day of judgment.
