Can someone please tell me what the problem is between the Americans and their neighbours the Mexicans.
Can the two countries not at least try to get on with each other?

What is with all the racism against Americans here. Not all of us are upset with the Mexicans coming in. I am taking Spanish at my school for an elective and learning more about Mexicans makes me respect them more so just remember not all of us are that way.

We have no problem with Mexicans. Hundreds of thousands come to America to work and live and spend, raise children, pay taxes and live the "American Dream". We have a problem with anyone that comes into the country illegally. It just so happens they cross from Mexico. If we bordered Somalia or some other third world country we would still have the same issues.

It wouldn't matter if someone is from Canada, Mexico, Sweden or France.... ANYONE who comes to the US and does not become a CITIZEN is an ILLEGAL alien. Those who come here and don't pay taxes should not be allowed to receive education, food stamps, cash assistance, health care, or social security benefits. Those of us born here or here as a CITIZEN should not have to give anyone a free ride. If someone truly wants to come to America to "live the American dream"; they can do it the RIGHT way. Those who sneak in and 'steal' from us and our children aren't very moral people to begin with. That's why we don't like anyone who does this. Many of us have parents or grandparents who came to this country the PROPER way and worked their butts off to make a life for themselves and their families. To have the illegal aliens come here and try to get a free ride is WRONG. Imagine how much money the US would save if we weren't giving millions of dollars to those who don't pay into the pool (b/c illegal aliens don't have social security numbers- so they contribute nothing). All these people do is come here and TAKE, TAKE, TAKE and give nothing in return. To top it off, after they bleed our pockets dry, then they want US to learn THEIR languages! This is AMERICA. WE speak ENGLISH.

I think it's a border issue and double standard. It's a big deal if an American goes to Mexico and tries to live there without papers, tries to go to a Mexican school, or goes to a Mexican hospital. Then it's illegal. If Mexicans cross the border illegally, gets a job, uses our hospitals for free, goes to public school for free it's okay.A lot of Americans don't like the fact that people are in this country illegally. My main problem with Mexicans (not Mexican Americans mind you) is that a majority of them don't like African Americans and despise their country's black people and natives. I don't do racism.

There are some things people wanting the american dream are willing to do that those who are already living it by being privileged to be born into it wont.
