Some US people hate liberals so much but in UK non-Liberals don't hate liberals so much. Does liberal have a different meaning on each side of the Atlantic, or is it just that the people have different attitudes?

was accidentally on fire in his kitchen, he, in a moment of life and death, without hesitation, instinctly started screaming

The Kurdistan Workers Party (or PKK), is a terrorist group fighting for autonomy in southeastern Turkey and operating out of Iraq. But bush's war on terror does not seem to include all terrorists only those who threaten the corporate interrests of his big oil buddys.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this week Turkey was moving forward with plans to send troops into northern Iraq to attack PKK bases, but was holding back while he talks with the United States and Iraq in an attempt to defuse tensions.

Known as the PKK, this group has been fighting Turkish forces since 1984 and is considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.

The PKK operates clandestine bases in the Kurdish-self ruled provinces of northern Iraq, where the US built central government authority is limited.

By now there are countless reports, from hospitals, witnesses, armament
experts and journalists that strongly suggest that in the present offensive of
Israeli forces against Lebanon and Gaza 'new weapons' are being used.

New and strange symptoms are reported amongst the wounded and the dead.

Bodies with dead tissues and no apparent wounds; 'shrunken' corpses;
civilians with heavy damage to lower limbs that require amputation, which is
nevertheless followed by unstoppable necrosis and death; descriptions of
extensive internal wounds with no trace of shrapnel, corpses blackened but not
burnt, and others heavily wounded that did not bleed.

This is all very scary, knowing that a powerful and civilized country like Israel is using illegal weapons and the world doesn't know about it.
So I ask, what do you think? is that ok to do? shouldn't it be punished severly for using them?

Since Humans Can be blamed for Gobal Warming and arguably America can be sited as a Major Culprit (see historical essays about the industrial revolution & polution) then what about an American Sponsored Program. Imagine if Every American Family adopted a Polar Bear or Penguin Family. Since Millions of Americans cannot live without Air Conditioning, many new American Homes are sealed against the enviroment, it should be easy to lower the tempreture a few more degrees. Care & Feeding shouldn't be a bear, isn't food supposedly cheap & plenty in America? So fellow Y&A participants do your part, adopt a Penguin or a Polar bear Family Today. Peace. I missed this on the news--the woman (a dentist) who drove her car over her husband in the hotel parking lot and was sentenced to murder(?)---what country did she originally come from? They were both dentists, he was cheating on her, and the case is famous. But I missed the detail of what country she came from originally. Thanks if you know.

First of all, what happended to american nationalism? Our culture.....in the 20's we wouldn't have had a pro hezbollah march in the cities of our once marvelled san francisco. Our culture is being diversified to the point that american's are now the minority at your local mall. We need to re-establish american norms of life, our culture, and set some immigration laws. This is getting ridiculous, if we don't stop and realize this country is turning into a melting put of cultural differences than we will fall from within.

WHY do we stop and screen grandmas, people named john/sarah at our airports, we need to profile the muslims, i dont care if people are sensitive, i'd like to carry on water on my plane flight and avoid 3 hours of line, quit being stupid america....wake up, or we will never win this war on terror.

This is hard for me...I am trying not to be biased. I LOVE Israel becuse Jesus did miracles there. I honestly have had bad experiences with muslim's discriminating against me for not being muslim and for being a female American. But, neither religions have Jesus Christ properly. Jesus is the Son of God and our King and Savior. They both deny him as Messiah and Christ! I hate to see the blood shed. No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, Know Peace, I guess... I pray for you all... What else can I do to help!

I'm not talking about getting the world leaders to sort it out either. As individuals on this planet, what can we do to stop poverty? To prevent more excessive damage of the o-zone layer. To stop hunting wild animals. To ensure we have racial equality in every day life, in every corner of the world. We all yack on about the problems in the world but what should we be doing about it? Solely as single minded human beings. Trying to get the world leaders to sort the problems doesn't seem to be so progressive so what should we all be doing? If we all did something toward curing all the bad in the world what would that thing be? What could we do single handedly that would make a visual difference?

Reading the Independent today there was a list of the lads who had been arrested for the planned bombings of the planes. One of them is 17 years old - he's not even a man in the eyes of the law. How much brainwashing must have gone on to turn a boy into someone who wants to kill and cause terror in the name of religion?
