In the last one hundred years, millions have died in wars, from natural disasters, disease and starvation, yet there is now 4 times as many people on the planet than there was 100 years ago. Has anybody ever thought that all this could be natures' way of "trying" to control human population, the world "antibodies" as it were. There are now over six and a half Billion people in the world, we no longer inhabit this planet we now infest it. Science has enabled us to cure once fatal diseases and live longer and once infertile couples are now helped by science have children. Voluntary euthanasia is illegal and we don't even execute killers these days. While the death of innocent people is regrettable, space on this world is limited. The plague killed off about three quarters of Europes' population in the middle ages, had they had todays' medical & scientific advances then, what would the worlds population be today? While thier motives may be good I believe that "do gooders" and the "God Squad" are causing more problems in the world than they're solving.

I don't agree about the global warming thing but hey ho, your opinion. You are right, religion is the main problem, so thats why it's never going to go away. There's too many idiots out there who think that they can actually wipe out all the jews, christians and infadels and anyone else who stands in there way. All the while countries around the world have armies, there'll be wars of some scale. My opinion is the same as yours on the religion thing. Why people can't just accept that we all believe in different religions and take that as an individual aspect of there lives is beyond me. They should stop all the wars, take all the armies from around the world into the congo and sort them bloody animals out down there. That'll save about 10 thousand lives a year. Then pile em all into africa and make them all build hospitals and schools for the millions of starving people out there. That'll save about 2 million lives a year.

The wars must stop. Its amazing that so many people think the same thing, yet nothing seems to be done about it!!

Its a good question, but the honest truth is that it will never stop, not when we have people who are in favour of going to war, or the people who kill and then people say it is because the killer was raised the wrong way or had a disturbed childhood, and that somehow helps them justify why they did it, there are so many problems in this world, like poverty, war, child abuse, child abandonment, killings and so many more that will never be put right. So if u live ur life as best u can thts all u can do, and if we can make a difference i anyway even a small way then we should.

I know, I have the same sentiments as well. Its a sad institution of full circle harm, none in particular. Its one thing to be monistic [not necessarily acknowledging the notion of a perfect "god", but just a higher power, which no one can deny when really identifying life and all its unconspicuous subtlties], but to believe in one "flawless" entity and fool yourself into believing you know and understand that higher power is absolutely ridiculous, as well as petty. Especially the concept of an "afterlife", which even if there is one, an ancient tribesman-philohopher's guidelines and prerequisites on how to get there that has swayed even the modern mind into religious psychosis should have been realized as harmful to natural morality and ethics by now[basically society, such as proof in grandiose scale around the world to this day - plus end times this, end times that (not quite as optimistic as it makes out to be huh?)], and it doesn't take a fairytale to actually acquire those. I must disagree on the global warming issue though, since it is in fact, since I've known from elementary school a serious problem. The science is there, exclusively the amount of co2 in the air, and as much as there are fervid statements that it is eaten away naturally, such is not the case when one looks at graphical stats and sees the exponential pattern of an ascending slope signifying the increase of the gas as time goes by. Since industrialization has only multiplied the effects, we do need to combat the problem w/ something that takes out the gas or in the least converts it into a less problematic one as well as make up for the natural loss of the ecosystem and rebalance it's equilibrium. It would seem like an impossible task, but like most say, nothing is impossible. Cool question, good dude, peace.

at the same time as there is an end to military intelligence and a one international authorities that has those who're professional existence and choose all of us too artwork in what ever way a probability for the reliable of mankind and one yet another like your chum or neighbours . guns and money will now no longer exist if those 2 do then human existence will unquestionably come an abrupt international unhappy meteoric ending which could no longer be allowed to happen.

While differences in peoples income, poverty, hatred, access to resources, access to products you desire, jealousy and human nature exisit, there will be no end to 'the innocent' dying. How can you tell a Somalian farmer, who has 3 of his 9 children left (the others having died from starvation/preventable disease) to "hug you" and live in harmony (and in poverty), how can such inequality be harmony? How can one live in harmony when the person who raped your wife and murdered your children live in the next village...vengeance will be theres...life is suffering, and death of the innocent is part of that suffering and always will be. Religion actually helps those affected by such events. Teaches people to forgive (well, Christianity and other non islamic relgions do anyway). Religion is probably one of the reasons we have such a civilised society now (in the West). Anyway. In a nutshell: Never. There is too much suffering and too much misery on the planet...the rich are rich, the poor are poor, there will be no harmony.

The only way this will happen is when everybody is dead.
Because people have different thoughts and ideals the whole world will never agree.
I do tend to agree that religion is one of the main problems, when it is mixed with politics. Until they stop them mixing, there will always be conflict. It's a pity we don't learn more through history.
Perhaps global warming will cause a new ice-age and solve the problem for us.

I am sorry to disagree, that religion creates war, on the contrary.
Its not the religion that causes it, its the people who try to enforce their beliefs on others. Think about it.

The world is full of good and evil, light and dark, one day we may live in harmony, but its gonna take some doing. You only have to see some of the sad questions on here, the bigots, the radicals, the stupid young men who cowardly ask racist questions, it always hurts some one. It plants seeds of hurt, and hatred, so you see, it goes on and on.
Personally, I never generalise, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and most often I am presently surprised. Treat everyone as you would want to be treated yourself, cant go far wrong!
Think positive, and be positive, and raise the standards, others may join you, and who knows it might catch on???

Never Benny Boy.As long as people think their religion is better than the next religion and that god wants them to kill . As long as people still hope that some magic in the sky will help them instead of taking on life's responsibility for themselves there is no chance of change. Its just us down here ,there is nothing on white horses or magic wands that will save us.
