It will never end. Anyone who thinks it will hasn't been paying attention to history. The names may change but the combatants don't.

I don't. Israel will knock hezbollah down alittle- but hezbollah will be taking shots at Israel for years & years to come. Eventually the conflict will evolve into something "else", but the bottom line in the Middle East- that something "else" pretty much always ends up in continuing conflict. It's the nature of the beast.

The UN brokered cease-fire is encouraging. The dissent in the UN is whining about how the majority voted for a resolution that faults Hezbollah, and holds Israel blameless.
Sounds like they got it right, so bugger the dissent.
Muhammed Everyman at 123 Main Street, ME still hates the Jews, and would rather see Israel obliterated, so we'll be here again, soon.

How can Hezbollah give up attacks on Israel when that is their sole purpose in existing??
Unless Hezbollah is completely destroyed, they will continue to harass Israel in every way they can.

Israel will occupy the territory of southern Lebanon saying that they will stay there to protect themselves from Hezbollah. However, in a few months you will see Israeli settlements there and Israel will say that this is their land now and that they will stay there and protect it. I see it as another conquest for Israel.
It is wrong!

I believe it only shines light on the deeper root
iran/syria.
it's a good thign in the fact that americans may wake up and realize that our problems aren't just 9/11 but this mentality of people who are willing to kill because they feel they will get a virgin in heaven for doing so..
that is absurd.

When Israel gets all of Lebanon's land (I think this war is completely wrong and that Israel had ulterior motives to get Lebanon's land, it has nothing to do with 2 soldiers being held hostage!!)
