He has been sentenced to 120 years without possibility of parole for the abduction of Ben Ownsby and Shaun Hornbeck. During a hearing Tuesday morning, Devlin entered guilty pleas and was sentenced to the following:
Kidnapping, 15 years
Attempted Murder, 15 years (to run consecutively with the kidnapping charge)
Armed Criminal Action, 30 years
Sodomy, three counts, three life sentences
This sick ba*tard confessed to having the intent of killing Shaun Hornbeck. Shortly after he was 1st abducted he committed sodomy on the boy, and then strangled him. Ben successfully pleaded for his own life, which Devlin spared. It seems 'no parole' sentences aren't foolproof. What can we change about our justice system to protect our children? http://www.kmov.com/topstories/stories/kmov_localnews_071009_devlin.1525fd7c3.html
Is contacting our State Representatives enough? It's time for radical change. Are you outraged that our govt. lets known child offenders out of jail on a regular basis?

Any interesting facts you know?

Why do you do it? It cannot be because you are concerned or feel compassion for missing children, because if it were, you would be putting your effort into raising awareness for the 70,000 + other British children who go missing every year and have hardly anybody actively looking or campaigning for them, who would benefit greatly from raised awareness. Why focus on one child who has more publicity and debate than is beneficial?

There must be millions of missing children the world over, why not take up a genuine cause that actually does need attention.

Basically most of you are saying " if they hadn't left her alone she wouldn't be missing" - everyone knows that's true - duh - but why keep repeating it? You people would rather take up for whatever sicko took her by saying its the parents fault instead of blaming the kidnapper - I don't understand you people. I really feel for you all because it is very possible this could happen to you under ANY circumstance. Then we'll all be here on Y/A to blame you - I'm sure we will find some kind of mistake you made that could have prevented it. (because all parents do)

I don't want to hear "you call leaving them alone a mistake? its neglect"

It doesn't matter if they apologize to the public a million times for leaving her alone - it's not going to bring her back.
I've read a million answers like that - move on.

She's gone - she needs to be found - no matter if they left her or not , some sicko has or had her and HE should be blamed.

A close friend of the Clintons is heading up a huge merger of the tabloid newspapers....you know, the kind that are in the checkout aisles. Do you think that now we will no longer get the 'special' news about the Clintons? Sounds as if the Clintons will get 'special treatment' by the press from now on.....and this is just ONE WAY to manipulate what people see and hear. Whatever happened to freedom of the press???

She was found 8 blocks from the school. Should the school be responsible?

Emotions need to be exercised or they will atrophy. You can’t help but think a few generations of so much public school “self-esteem” emphasis haven’t prepared our kids very well for the real world. Rather than focus on accomplishments we’ve evolved into a society that says “you’re great as you are (without having accomplished anything)” and “you’re worthy of respect (without having earned it).” So what happens the first time someone is rebuffed or called “worthless” or a “loser?” Do they say “sticks and stones?” No, because they’re unequipped to cope. They don’t know quite how to respond. Some implode, sinking into an emotional funk. Some, like Tyler Peterson in Wisconsin -- or Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold in Colorado, or any number of products of a “feel good” society -- react destructively.

Agree?

An example being that apparently the police now know that there were 7 children in the apartment. think about it, unless they have been told this by one of the group, they can't possibly know this, DNA couldn't prove this. Why is everyone so willing to believe the rubbish that is printed, and have the Mccann's convicted?

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born
in
Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from
Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita,
Kansas.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two
years old,
his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then
married Lolo
Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old,
the family
relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He
also spent
two years in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is
quick to point
out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catho lic
school."

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that
Obama's introduction
to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary
at best. In reality,
the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never
again had any
direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann
Dunham,introduced his
stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta.

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim
terrorists who are
now waging Jihad against the western world.

Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking
Major public office
in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United
Church of Christ in
an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential
candidacy.
The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside
out,
what better way to start than at the highest ! level - through the
President of
the United States, one of their own!!!!

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office - he DID NOT
use the Holy Bible,
but instead the Koran (their equivalency to our Bible, but very
different beliefs).

Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading
our country?

I think it is a big joke when news stations run adds telling us how they are here for us and they are our friends. I find our news media a joke and I rarely find them telling the truth. They take little blurbs out of complete conversations and edit it to mean what they want it to mean and they can either hang or make a person by doing this. I think it is wrong. I feel that when they take everything out of context they are out right lying to the American people. Does any one else feel this way?

As an Englishman who owns many major US based companies i feel i must ask this.
I feel it is utterly disgraceful that Americans are mocked and ridiculed on a daily basis(including this site) just because where they were born.
The Americans who are under my control are lovely hard working people and not like what we would expect at all.In fact i would say the Americans i own make ideal employees.
So i would like to "buck the trend"of American-bashing and start a new one=American-praising.

As police are now sure that there were 7 children asleep in the McCanns apartment it is obvious that the Tapas conspiracy is starting to crumble. Lets spare a thought for Robert Murat. These evil people were prepared to set up an innocent man for a heinous crime that he never committed. Have they absolutely NO CONSCIENCES at all. This poor guy has had his life ripped apart by these terrible people. He could have got life imprisionment. There was no need to try and set up Murat, it was pure evil. Then there is the fund which will soon be revealed as the MASSIVE FRAUD it is and poor Madeleine in some makeshift grave with no Christian buriel. These monsters should face at LEAST 10 years if not more. They are BAD,BAD people.

Spanish tv has just emitted on the Ana Rosa program tele 5 that police now know that 7 CHILDREN were sleeping in the McCann apartment on the night of Madeleine's disappearance. This makes perfect sense as to why the rest of the tapas group lied about the arrangements for checking the children. If they had sedated all the children, the rest of the group would be guilty as well. Apart from the Paynes and their mother Dianne Webster, who used the babysitting service. Dianne Webster is the lady who told police that each couple was responsible for checking their own children. It makes absolute sense that the children would be together as it would have made checking them so much easier. What do you all think?

ok, the "anti's" post many links and stories to support the theory of the McCanns being disgusting child killers. I haven't seen a link from a supporter to support their theory,

why is this???
is it because they know their crime and can't defend them???
