Left school at 17 and did a BA part time in my late 20s and then two MAs, also p/t in my 30s. Enjoyed them all tremendously and know that I wouldn't have got my current job without a BA, so it was worth it both in terms of my career and generally.

Education is "important" - one is continually learning and it doesn't stop with a degree. Is it worth it - a great big YES!

I have a BA in Religious Studies and Psychology.
I don't feel that was really worth it because I couldn't get a job a couple of years ago, even things that I had all the qualifications/experience for, as well as working in shops etc.
I'm doing an MSc in Social Work now, but I do know people who over a year after qualifying couldn't get a job.
I think it really depends on what you do, a lot of degrees aren't worth the paper they're written on to be honest, unless they do qualify you for something. Especially with more and more people getting degrees - it means less if you have one because of the numbers of people who have them now.
These days it is just as important to get work experience.

I believe in education ,qualifications, & experience in your
chosen profession, related field. They all go together, college,
diplomas, degrees, are nothing without practical experience.

Also , I include here common-sense , with life-experience.
The level you reach is dependent on your own determination.

Qualifications are nothing, unless utilised the right way.
Remember to be humble once you have them ,& ready to start on the bottom rung of the ladder again , as part of the
learning excercise.

Yes,You need the highest level of education , but to the level .
you are the most comfortable.

I have my M.Eng. It also made it easier for me to become a Chartered Engineer and being a C.Eng places you above others. Both increased my salary by a huge amount and made career what it is today. Education is always a struggle but you will reap the rewards.

I have a BA in Psychology and a BA in Sociology. Since I did not further my education and I decided to stay home with my children it was not worth it. I am going to paying back these student loans for the rest of my life.

NOt suggesting anyone else should not go to school. just wasn't worth the expense in my case.
