He has been sentenced to 120 years without possibility of parole for the abduction of Ben Ownsby and Shaun Hornbeck. During a hearing Tuesday morning, Devlin entered guilty pleas and was sentenced to the following:
Kidnapping, 15 years
Attempted Murder, 15 years (to run consecutively with the kidnapping charge)
Armed Criminal Action, 30 years
Sodomy, three counts, three life sentences
This sick ba*tard confessed to having the intent of killing Shaun Hornbeck. Shortly after he was 1st abducted he committed sodomy on the boy, and then strangled him. Ben successfully pleaded for his own life, which Devlin spared. It seems 'no parole' sentences aren't foolproof. What can we change about our justice system to protect our children? http://www.kmov.com/topstories/stories/kmov_localnews_071009_devlin.1525fd7c3.html
Is contacting our State Representatives enough? It's time for radical change. Are you outraged that our govt. lets known child offenders out of jail on a regular basis?

I hope to God this man is sodomized and killed in prison.
What he did was beyond human understanding.

Yes I am outraged that they let these people out, considering the chanced they will commit the same crime again is pretty high!

I have to agree that prison and the lopsided code of ethics that prisoners have end up taking the idea of "justice" to a whole new level.

I would not be surprised if this guy is either murdered in jail or commits suicide. It is very unlikely that he will live to see his parole date either way.

100 years is more than ample time for other prisoners to find out what he did and extract their own justice upon him.

We'll know in 2127 when he becomes elegible for Parole. But it's doubtful he'll make through more than one Life Sentence, if that. Molesters don't do well inside.

What I really wish we had was "Life with Frequent Public Humiliation." That might deter some of the folks that the Death Penalty doesn't reach.

Yup, that should just about do it. He's going to die in prison. What more do you want? His death? Gee yeah, that'd teach him! Oh and by the way, castration of rapists and child molesters doesn't stop them from trying again. It has nothing to do with penetration with a penis. It's about power.

Well, since he will never live to get out then I would say that his sentence is appropriate. But I am still for castrating all pedophiles regardless.
