Spanish tv has just emitted on the Ana Rosa program tele 5 that police now know that 7 CHILDREN were sleeping in the McCann apartment on the night of Madeleine's disappearance. This makes perfect sense as to why the rest of the tapas group lied about the arrangements for checking the children. If they had sedated all the children, the rest of the group would be guilty as well. Apart from the Paynes and their mother Dianne Webster, who used the babysitting service. Dianne Webster is the lady who told police that each couple was responsible for checking their own children. It makes absolute sense that the children would be together as it would have made checking them so much easier. What do you all think?

I'm trying to find a link. As it was a breaking news in the programme I haven't managed to find the link yet but i'm working on it.

I think that if this is true it would explain the willingness of the others in the group to "help" the McCanns as much as necessary, with their pact of silence and contradictory stories to the police or even with other "help".
I've seen the query frequently: "Why would the Tapas group lie; why help the McCanns to that extent, if indeed Madeleine did die in an accident while in her parents' care?".
This news item could explain why.
Also, if it is true that Sky News was called before the police, this sheds some light on why that might have been done.
Obviously two doctors such as the McCanns know the importance of forensics and of maintaining an uncontaminated crime scene.
But, if the media arrived first and people tramped through, the police would have much more difficulty in obtaining evidence.
The presence of so many additional people in and around the apartment would have helped to obscure the traces of who had been there.
If this breaking news is correct, with children sedated & sleeping, all of those in the Tapas group would have a great deal of motivation to obscure the actual events of the night of May 3, 2007

Interesting. But unless the police know more than they are saying about this, the traces in the apartment can't prove all the kids were there that night.
If it IS true they were all there, it gives some credence to the sedation theory, and that in turn could explain why the parents only listened at the door. It could also be the reason for the different statements regarding where Madeleine was sleeping.
But if it's true that they're all implicated, and covering for each other I can't see why they didn't get their stories straight before giving statements.

Well how interesting is this?? If it is true (and it does make more sense that the children were altogether) why on earth lie about it??? There is no reason to lie about that fact unless something very untoward was going on... but I do agree with toi-et-moi about the dna of the other children getting into the apartment.. so we shall have to wait and see...
This whole case is just too strange... 'what a tangled web we weave' springs to mind!!!

Oh yes money money money. What is all this money lark anyway. Building up a pension fund for themselves eh? All these publicity stunts are NOT working and how come they are not being teminated. So many questions and so few answers. I bet the parents know something though. Time will tell.

Saw a mention of this earlier today ,if true and i have no reason to doubt it, it would appear to be pretty damning, blowing their whole account of that evening wide open.Let's hope it is a leak designed to unsettle them further and will counter the McCann supportive reporting going on here.

OMG! I can't beleive this but then nothing should suprise me any more.
Why on Gods earth did one of them not sit in and keep an eye on them all?
7 kids in one room? Think of the riot that would have been!

It's easy to believe because they were all together at the Tapas9, why not to put all the children together as well?
Just imagine what could happen children hurt each other or start playing with something dangerous in the house...
Unless they were comfortable enough with the sedatives...
Big star for you!

If the McCanns and their friends are lying about this (I mean why not admit you left all the children together) then then can lie about anything.
