I need some information on Syria's government for a paper that was assigned a couple of days ago. How is it that a Shiite government rules Syria when 75% of the population is Sunni. How is it that the leader is actually popular with the public?

Thanks for all your answers and insights.

Hi,
I would like to move out of my apartment without paying the last month's rent, because I've heard that my landlord doesn't return the deposit to anybody.
The apartment is supposed to be rent stabilized but it's not.
My lease expired a month ago and my landlord has raised the rent and gave me a one month to think, without a written notice, just verbally.
I live in NY city
Thanks for help

Other than posters and websites and things?

Heres an idea. Hire a good Private Investigator in every European country or every country to which Maddie could feasibly have been taken. Maybe Richard Branson could pay for that instead.

Or are they too busy hiring top lawyers and spin doctors and the like?

(Innocent people don't need "top" lawyers.)

With all the news reports over the last few days about Kate and Gerry being 'innocent or guilty' it begs the question as to whether they are still even bothering to look anymore for Madeleine.

How do you find a missing child by hiring a top extradition lawyer and a top media spin merchent ?

One key importance of a modern PR team is the 'rebuttal', as soon as your opponent issues a statement about you, then you instantly rebut the story as untrue. New Labour pefected this technique in the run up and aftermath of the 1997 general election.

But in the McCann case it works like this:
1) The Portugese Police leek a story the the Portugese press, who in turn report it as 'from Police Sources'.
2) Team McCann issues the rebuttal denying vigerously that the report is true.
3) The Portugese Police, covered by the nations secrecy laws, rebut the McCanns saying that they have made no accusation as to what the McCanns are denying.
4) Team McCann look like they are making up the rebuttals !

Have you noticed the 'double-rebuttals' confusing Team McCann ?

But in steps Clarence Mitchell who is nobodies media fool and have blanketed the UK media with unattributted 'they are innocent' stories... but can that stance last ?

The idea of using spy satellite pictures came from Professor Glees, director of Brunel University's Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies.

He said the little-known Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre, based at RAF Brampton, Cambridgeshire, was a world leader in analysing aerial and satellite imagery.
It could be ordered to collect and examine all the imagery that can be found of Praia da Luz, where the McCanns were on holiday, dating back to May 2.
Professor Glees went on: "The Prime Minister and the Ministry of Defence should instruct JARIC and its colleagues in the British intelligence community to intervene at once.

"It is perfectly possible that the European Commission's satellites, which track fishing boats, may also be able to shed light on Madeleine's fate. JARIC will quickly tell us."
