I'm trying to figure that one out myself. What about using the fund for the purpose it was meant? An ACTIVE search at that with some private investigators thrown in for good measure. And I don't think those two bothered to look for their wee girl - everybody else did while they buggered off to see the Pope, etc. Makes me puke!
PAUL H: I am so very sorry for your loss. But these two haven't hired lawyers to try to get Madeleine back - it's to keep them out of jail. Not only that, loads of people put money into the Fund in good faith that it was going to be used in the search for Madeleine. So why is all that money - OVER ONE MILLION POUNDS - sitting in a bank doing nothing? It SHOULD have been used to hire investigators and to quote Gerry McCann's own words "Leave no stone unturned in the search for Madeleine".
MISTY BLUE: GET REAL! NOTHING should have deterred them in their "goal" of finding their daughter - when are they going to start?. THEY chose to make it into a media circus, seeing the Pope, gallivanting about the place, doing fashion shoots etc - ANYTHING BUT LOOK FOR MADELEINE. I wouldn't give a damn who was calling me what - I'd be out there PERSONALLY searching for my child - not leaving it for others to do.

the only stable clarification for the McCanns to concern extradition is that in the event that they think of they can't get a undemanding trial in Portugal. for sure they may well be so plenty greater proper off being tried in Britain, the place the individuals are so undemanding-minded and don't leap to rash conclusions with out any stressful information ;-)

It is clear that they have always put their own interests before the inconvenience of looking after children. I can only assume that the support they are getting from the rich and the powerful is because none of them would have a clue how to look after their children if it were Nanny's day off. Unfortunately for Madeleine, Nanny wasn't there at all. She had to rely on Mummy and Daddy. Pass the sick bag.

I think they are very clever and manipulating people and although will go along with whatever they are advised they won't want to waste the money they are going to live off on a child that will probably never be found... at least not alive...(Sorry but that's my belief) Maybe it's because they know she will never be found... Most people research their holiday destination before going and do a fair bit of exploring while they are there... But the Internet is also a wealth of knowledge especially with Google Earth......

This is just the same old question worded differently. Yes! the lawyers and the top media spin merchant are acting for the parents of Maddie. Bearing in mind 'Innocent until proven Guilty' I think we would all do the same. Despite being someone 'sitting on the fence' I don't believe that there are not ways the family and the public are not looking for this lovely child. I don't know whether you are wrong in your views thinking the McCann's are guilty, you could well be right. However, can you put your hand on your heart and swear you know your are 100% right and have the proof that Maddies's parents killed her? If you can then you must go to the authorities.........I dare you!

It is now clear that the whole case has been buried. It seems that all "experts" and "famous" people are coming to the aid of the McCanns. Good luck to them. The Portuguese and their police are happy to be rid of them and the problem they caused. Let's not forget that (1) the PJ-GNR does not care to ask them anymore questions but (2) the McCanns remain official suspects for all time

You don't silly. You find a child by putting your other children in round the clock child care, writing a stupifying blog, jogging a lot, visiting the pope, and setting up a shop and SELLING missing posters to people.
Or alternatively just going back to the place you buried her (did I really say that out loud???)
**Misty Blue - come on! You surely don't beleive they've not bothered looking for her for all this time because people were being mean to them do you??? For goodness sake, that's the daftest thing I've heard.
"Shall we go and knock on a few doors to day to find our small child who we love"
"Not today darling, those b@stards on YA have put me right off"

You don't. You just make yourself look better in the eyes of the world media and keep yourself out of jail.
Why don't they use their fund to hire a private investigator in every country to which Madeleine could feasibly have been taken?

Have any of you lost a child?
I lost my daughter when she was 6 and it still breaks my heart to think about it.
To find a child you need everybody looking so publicity is your best tool.
If the child has been bought on the black market, possession is 9 tenths the law, so you will need a top lawyer to win her back in court.

Doesn't sound to me as though a missing child is the top priority here. How come people still support them?
