He seems to care more about trying to stay the course in Iraq than taking care of his own people at home. It's embarassing that 2 years after Katrina that many of the people there are still living in harsh conditions. Bush has failed them.

I heard a lot of people say yesterday that his life should not be destroyed over this incident. His life is not being destroyed. He needs to pay his dues then go on with his life. If he is not allowed to play football again then he goes out and gets a job like everyone else. Just because he may not be able to live the lifestyle he could have if he hadn't screwed up doesn'tmean his life is destroyed. He did this to himself , nobody screwed him.We all have to live with the consequences of our actions and he is no different. There are a lot of people working regular jobs and they have great lives.

That has been my observation. They also usually have pretty poor hygiene and smelly homes full of animal hair.

Sorry to be cynical...or am I?

I don't believe that Michael Vick has really changed. You can't teach someone to care. Besides, those kinds of changes, even in the rare cases when they occur, usually take a long time to form.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I heard on the news that Vick has apologized and declared that he has been 'saved'. Is it possible that it could be true?

I think he was insincere- but that's just my opinion. He probably does regret this whole ordeal, but only because he is in hot water. He doesn't really feel any remorse for killing the dogs. He just feels bad about getting caught.

What do you think?

I have no opinion either way, but I thought there's some very odd
co-incidences. Please dont respond to this until you have watched it, this is'nt 'loose change'

Additionally I wont be reading any responses and the best answer will be chosen at random.

And lets say for arguments sake that they are not doing anything wrong or abusing anyone . . .

Would you talk to them?
Has anyone ever done this?

I know its likely cos of my job but I do - I ask them what they are doing, why they are not doing anything constructive etc . . .

Some of them are really insightful about the problems young people face and could tell the governement a lot!

Anyone else?

send in armed teams to where the drugs are coming from, and just execute the producers.

I am in the (questionably) priviliged position to have worked with both high risk young offenders (in and out of prison) and in crime prevention work with younger children (8+) . . .

Personally I think prevention of anti-social behaviour and crime in by far more effective than punishing as by then it is too late (I am not saying don't punish by the way!!)

More money is being spent at the higher end of things than in preventative work (it's the same as in social services)

I had some really good answers to my last post on criminal kids, what do you all think of crime prevention work?

As my last question on anti-police attitudes shows, many of us are in the same wavelength in relation to what these children have learned at home either directly or through lack of love/emotional investment . . .

Don't we as a society have a responsibility to do more - if we have been good parents to our kids, is there a way in which we can help extend this out to kids who have not been so lucky?

Is anyone doing this?
(like youth work, mentoring, parenting support work etc?)

If not would you consider it?

"Deleted Answer: Would you like to live one day in his shoes? With the way hes been hounded & hawked, am amazed he hasn't "stormed off" earlier. Can you even begin to understand the grief, pressure & stress he must be under? Just shows that he doesn't give a whit for the media when it comes to himself."

With all the silence and secrecy in the community surrounding Rhys Jone's murder (and others like damilola taylor) have you ever wondered where the anti-police attitudes come from?

In my job, I see families daily who encourage their children to hate the police and if the police have occasion to knock on the door they are abused by parents and kids alike.

Is it any wonder that young people get into trouble when their parents let them believe they are above the law?

(I am not saying all parents and young people are like this)

Why oh why does our government allow this to carry on, year after year. It is a breeding ground for crime.
I think it should be abolished completely,as it has nothing to do with British Culture or history. The day we are given an extra bank holiday for St Georges day, I might reconsider.

In the mean time. Out law it. It is indirect discrimination and another sample of how the existing govt, does nothing for Britain.

Quite flattering too might I add. Obviously some poor, pathetic lost soul has decided to take me on as an idol...pity about it's evil little mind. Could have had so much potential.

Thanks to everyone who figured out it wasn't me. I would never even think up such a sick little question.

So, anyone have any ideas on how to show people the real Grumples from the fake?

Hello cactus (hellpuppyhell),

You have received a message from another user!

From: eye in the skye

Subject: die

Message: Go and kill yourself you worthless, thick piece of ****.

I found this very interesting.
I received this email yesterday after I disagreed with the sender on a particular question.
I feel very sorry for the sender who obviously has many unresolved issues.
Does anyone think it is necessary to resort to this sort of tactic, and has anyone ever received anything similar?
