Sorry to be cynical...or am I?

I don't believe that Michael Vick has really changed. You can't teach someone to care. Besides, those kinds of changes, even in the rare cases when they occur, usually take a long time to form.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I heard on the news that Vick has apologized and declared that he has been 'saved'. Is it possible that it could be true?

I think he was insincere- but that's just my opinion. He probably does regret this whole ordeal, but only because he is in hot water. He doesn't really feel any remorse for killing the dogs. He just feels bad about getting caught.

What do you think?

Of course he just feels bad because he lost millions of dollars in sponsers and lost his job which pays more then it really should. The fame and fortune all got to his head (which frankly gets in the head of many many rich football athletes). I probably would forgive him in due time (even though I don't like dogs---my mother has one and that little moron gets to me sometimes--full of feelings just like us) and THIS monster dare killed them for game.

YET at the same time we also have to look at hunting games too. Aren't they just as bad. But wait a minutes, if it's true that Vick not only had dogs fight BUT killed the loser then this further puts Vick down the drain. It's like a weird ritual---maybe from Africa (i've seen stuff like this there and Latin America)---whatever. Vick knew better but he just thought he would never get caught. Vick should get 10 yrs behind bars but working in the fields. Frankly they should put every convict behind bars working so that they wouldn't want to go back there. That is the reason why many convicts continue to go back behind bars (hey no rent, 3 meals a day---no taxes)

Who knows what really is in someones heart? All i do know is that is if were joe in south miami who got arrested for the same offense the Nation never would have heard about it. What a shame it is how mis-placed our priorities and concerns are when there are human atrocities taking place right here in our own neighborhoods that don't get half the coverage in the media. How sad that a pedophile preying on children gets a whole 10 SECONDS of coverage and then they run 4 MINUTES on Vick. We as a society should be concerned with bigger things than dog fighting.

Oh, of course. That's just such bs about him finding Jesus because of this. Gimme a break. That's just the standard party line celebrities have to say to try to get the public and media to forgive them. The next best thing would be him going to rehab. Seems like they all use God and rehab as a way to wipe the slate clean in a hurry.

Well, in desperate times, we often turn to a higher power, namely God. However i find that many people completely take this for granted saying they found religion in order to try to lessen the blow of the law. However if he truly and genuinely has turned over a new leaf then good for him, but the only person that actually knows, is Vick himself.

Why did take him so long to find Jesus? Just another rich sports figure with over inflated ego.

He's trying to save face and he thinks by finding Jesus he will do this. Surprise, He's a huge scum bag, still.
