Yahoo just posted a news article, on a new scientific process to create stem cells from a woman's unfertilized eggs.

Does this resolve the ethical debate for stemcell funding ?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070628/ap_on_he_me/stem_cells

This process however, would only be able to produce stem cells to be used to create tissue for the woman who donated eggs. Men would not benifit.

Mika Brzezewski, MSNBC newscaster, became livid when she had to run the story about Paris Hilton getting out of jail over recent developments in the war.

Is this type of "news" more important than other current events? Or should it stay in the entertainment news only?

Are we really so forgetful that from one year to another we are surprised by this and have to see it on every news show? Sort of like, every time there is a hurricane, it's like major news too, even though we get 10 a year every year. I don't get it.

Kate McCann quoted 'this is my job now' (fighting child trafficking) - how can this be her 'new job' when she won't listen to someone who allegedly has information about Madeleine, her very own child?.

Most moslems agree that Al Queda is not a typical form of Islam. Why not toss it away from Islam and label it a cult? There have been many Christian groups which have been labeled this way. Shouldn't the media do this?

It would be a good way to set the people in Al Queda aside. Why let a cult tarnish the whole religion?

The Jim Jones group and the Wako, Texas groups were labeled 'cults' if I remember right. There must be others who were labeled this way too. If there were Christians acting the way Al Queda has, wouldn't the media and political leaders call that group a cult?

It's time to start calling Al Queda what it really is.

Is it because if we find out that story is somehow the not true, it will shatter the illusion of the real reason we are in the Middle East and a whole mess of other stuff? Let's go over the proof of why the story is bogus shall we?

Some of the highjackers are still alive. (WTF?!?) They were victims of identity theft.

Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI says there is no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11. (this should really piss you off)

Seriously...before tv, the internet, magazines and celebrities...just what did people focus on? I can't even remember. I do remember being always busy and not even owning a TV for almost 5 years because I was just too busy. I listened to music when I finally got home, let it take me away and drifted off to sleep...those were the days.

All this nonsense making news reminds me of "THE TRUMAN SHOW"...and when finally he says goodbye, and the show ends, people snap out of their trance and get back to the world of the living.

How do we get people back to the world of the living!!! LOL

I fell for him in the presidential debates, and i'm think he is a wanderful man. However, i've heard this:

he makes his money seuing people
he is a malpractice attorny
he raised healthcare costs

Being a malpractice attorny is one thing because SOMETIMES that isn't a bad thing. Sometimes people do try to scam you. But is he the typical kind of malpractice attorny that makes problems out of nothing?

story link to avoid liberal whining...
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070627/ap_on_el_pr/democrats_foreign_policy
exact quote.(ap wire)
U.S. priorities should be bringing troops home from Iraq, demanding that Iraqis take responsibility for their country or lose U.S. aid and intensive diplomacy to restore frayed relationships.

1.) What happened to defeating al qaeda,.has she forgotten she voted for it?
2.)Wouldnt avoiding grandstanding with funding of the troops bring them home alive and free from having to declare the Harry Reid type surrender that the extremists dearly want?
3.)Intensive diplomacy to restore WHAT frayed relationships? The last thing this country needs is someone like Nancy Pelosi going to a known terrorist sypathizing country like Syria and actually getting in the way of people who understand what they are doing. Couldnt Pelosi going to Syria and romancing a terrorist country easily be seen as fraying relationships by courting terrorists?
Liberals,yeah right
