Seriously...before tv, the internet, magazines and celebrities...just what did people focus on? I can't even remember. I do remember being always busy and not even owning a TV for almost 5 years because I was just too busy. I listened to music when I finally got home, let it take me away and drifted off to sleep...those were the days.

All this nonsense making news reminds me of "THE TRUMAN SHOW"...and when finally he says goodbye, and the show ends, people snap out of their trance and get back to the world of the living.

How do we get people back to the world of the living!!! LOL

So true. I remember just reading for hours, and I still would, but there's always such a high noise level around here with the battle of the stereos, the TV on, kids in and out, and so on. It's easier for me to focus on Answers than to try to read. I think all the media has affected my concentration level. We limit our kids' computer time to one hour per day, otherwise they turn into zombies. But it's still hard. When no one's home, I turn everything off and just enjoy the silence!
