How many are giving up or trying to give up this Sunday when the ban on smoking in public places comes into effect?

How many feel that because this government are trying to make you give up, with the ban and also the threat of not being treated by the NHS if you don't, that you won't give up?

Do you think that the 'total' ban will ever be overturned to become a 'partial' ban?

Me? I'm a smoker of 26 years. tried giving up many, many times in the past. Can't break the habit, no matter how hard I've tried, even had the dough-eyed look from my kids, and still find it hard. I would have supported a partial ban, smoke rooms in pubs (ie just lke 100 years ago), no smoking in eateries etc. Hate being made to feel like a criminal, when the real criminal was the newsagents who sold the bloody things to me when I was between 11 and 16 years old. Will try again soon!

Another "link" between the McCanns and Freemasonary? Why would Gorden Brown personally telephone Gerry McCann and say he would give him any pratical or personal help?

"The UK's Independent newspaper, reported that in the UK the Masons were an organization 800,000 strong, represented at the top of the police force, in the government, the House of Lords, the high court, banking, the boardrooms of the largest companies and every part of the establishment.

Gordon Brown is reportedly a freemason.

One lodge recruits only from the Ministry of Defense, among high-ranking officers, and the senior management of the arms industry."

I'm about to open a new site about news, articles and blogs. I would like some ways to get the initial articles/news (even before opening date) in my site so people don't run away because they don't find nothing to read.

There are SO many people spouting off about how, "Bush Lied/People Died," that it puzzles me that maybe my fellow YAers are unable to think outside-the-box and consider perspectives different from what the media feed them every evening while they are sitting at their tables and eating their dinner.

Why is this?

Granted, it is explained to you that believing ANYTHING else makes you a shill for the administration to which MY response goes down the lines of, "Stick and stones..."

Come on, people. Do YA proud and QUIT toeing the media line. Give it a little thought and consideration and QUIT buying the pap that media like to feed you every night. Pap is a high-calorie high-cholesterol food too!

I'm just saying that the only poeple buzzing over her are the idiots reporting on her. The general public could care less. I actually think that there are far more important people, stories, and topics to discuss other than Paris Hilton. Get your priorities straight!! Remember, it is the MEDIA that fed into Anna Nichole Smith's sad, pathetic, and tragic lifestyle. You did nothing but glorify her acts. If those of you who's business it is to report the news, wake up in the morning and find someone like Paris Hilton newsworthy, trust me, stay in bed. Show some class and try setting a positive example for those who are following in your footsteps.. i.e., Larry King, Katie Couric, etc.

Madeleine's maternal grandparents Sue and Brian Healy, from Liverpool, asked for the service at the church in County Mayo. It will run from 8pm until midnight on Friday.

Still keeping the campaign going that does not find Madeline then? But sure gives her family celebrity status that they now need to hide the twins from the press so they can have a normal life. Do they think they are the Beckhams now?

If that's true, it explains why TV news is so lousy today compared to decades ago. Unfortunately, we assume TV news is about truth and important subjects. It's actually about getting more people to watch. We shouldn't make that assumption. TV news is no different than any comedy or dramatic series.

I am an independent so this isn't a liberal voter being whinny - but if I were the republicans - I would try and make her go away. Meaning - stop having the limelight. She's a witch with a capitol "B"

She isn't doing anything to sway my vote and is only making the party lines wider.
