On the home page of www.yahoo.ca, there is an article about Isaiah Washington accusing people of racism when being fired from his role in Grey's Anatomy. His homophobic remarks were widely reported at the start of the year, and even entered into therapy to deal with his 'issues'.

I am not the least bit surprised by his firing, but I wouldn't suggest that it is because - as he suggests - he was let go for his race.

My question is regarding the 'race card' - was it used or abused by him to defend himself? And how do people feel about him not taking responsibility for his actions?

Take the London car bomb scare, for example.

An ambulance comes to rescue someone who, by coincidence, had a seizure a block away from the car bomb.

Then, by coincidence the parameds walk all the way near that car and notice fumes inside it.

The police is called, the bomb squad comes and find a giant pipe bomb with a cell phone as a detonator.

They disassemble it, which takes well over an hour, with cameras all around, and no one calls the phone.

If you buy all that, you must be truly gullible.

Propane, nails and remote detonators are, according to ITV, the same materials often used in bombs in Iraq. Has Tony Blair put Londoners at risk by attacking Iraq?

' In Israel, Bush said, "terrorists have taken innocent human life for years in suicide attacks. The difference is that Israel is a functioning democracy and it's not prevented from carrying out its responsibilities. And that's a good indicator of success that we're looking for in Iraq." '

That must be why Bush wanted to give Iraq the Israeli flag:

On April 27, 2004, CNN carried the Associated Press headline "Flap over new Iraq flag." It seems that "Iraq's U.S.-picked leaders have approved a new flag for the country, dumping Saddam Hussein's red-and-black standard."
In its place, the new flag design is "white with two blue stripes, and although it has a crescent representing Islam, the flag no longer bears the words 'God is great.'"

The only country in the Middle East with blue stripes in its flag is Israel, which has a Star of David on a field of white between horizontal blue bands.

Imus is forced to resign when he calls the Rutgers' women's basketball team "nappy-headed ho's." Fine - the public should not tolerate such incendiary comments. But why is there no similar outcry when Ann Coulter says she wishes John Edwards died in a terrorist attack? http://www.mediainfo.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003605733 Coulter's remarks are not anonymous, they are vindictive and purposefully hurtful - and yet we accept it as a part of politics. Why?

(If you don't want to read all this, just skip to the last paragraph)

In the early morning hours of 9/11/01, we Americans just went about our daily routines. We drove to drove to work. We rode the bus to school. But at 8:45 am, our routine American life was changed forever. 19 Islamic extremists took over four jetliners full of passengers. Three planes slammed into three different buildings. Due to the heroic efforts made by the passengers aboard flight 93, the fourth plane never reached its intended target.

The days following 9/11 are days I will never forget: American flags were put up all over. We were all united as one, it seemed, because we knew there was a real threat from terrorism.

The weeks following 9/11, America went after these terrorists. People signed up for the armed forces to protect the country. Americans proudly stood behind their commander-in-chief and they all agreed that terrorists needed to be brought to justice.

As a non-smoker I'm glad smoking is been banned in public places! Why should people who want to smoke force it on non-smokers! If they want lung cancer fine, but why should the people who don't smoke suffer the same fate? Some smokers feel its a breech on their freedom banning it, is it not a breech on non-smokers freedom forcing us into an early grave?

I have noticed that it is the same old names that post things like " your evil " how can you judge people that are suffering etc etc, they go on any question and say this kinda stuff, even on the overhead view photo that someone has posted - " It actually looks closer" I wonder if these are relatives as the answer dont make sense - can we point them out please - OR OF COURSE MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN -
If you have asked a question and got lots of rude answers, just click on the name of the person that left it and see what other thing they comment on - 9.9 out of 10 is always negatives left on questions about the Mccanns.

What does everyone else think? and do you think that if we all refused to perpetuate the "celeb" drivel, would the media listen?
