Today is the one year anniversary of Patsy's funeral. This is one of those cases that unfortunately will probably never be solved. Sad for everyone involved. This is a case that is sort of like religion and politics with some people. Everyone has their own thoughts and there is probably no way to convince them otherwise. I for one do not think Patsy nor John had anything to do with it. May dear Patsy rest in peace.

I think so many people think Patsy killed her daughter because she suffered a "trial my media" and unfortunately people want to blame someone when there is no obvious culprit so the finger pointing went straight to the mother because (a) she showed little emotion at the time (b) the family hired an attorney immediately (c) she entered her in beauty pageants at such a young age. I have read a few books on this case and I think the police bungled this one up from the start. Unfortunately vital evidence was destroyed in the early stages of the investigation due to family and friends tampering with the crime scene looking for the child. The huge amount of publicity that this case attracted turned the whole affair into a circus so who knows for sure what really happened. I have read in a few books that a young man who was a prime suspect in the early days of the investigation had confessed to his girlfriend that he had done it. It apparently was meant to be a kidnap and ransom scenario that went horribly wrong as Jon-Benet died in the home so he fled the scene. The man committed suicide shortly after so that avenue was closed and because the family and public wanted an arrest, the police focused their attention back onto the family. In Australia, we had a similar case of a mother who said her baby was taken by a dingo but again because she showed little emotion after the disappearance of the child and the family were involved with an alternative church group, she became the prime suspect. Later her sons were accused of being involved as well. She went to jail for several years before being acquitted of the murder. In fact the baby was taken by a dingo. Truth is sometimes much stranger than fiction.

The Ramseys hired an attorney right away. Family members are always the first people the cops look at in a death but feeling the need to hire an attorney is something else. Patsy Ramsey may have not have killed her child but she set the scene for a pervert to. To parade a 6 year old around like that was sick.

Who are the many people who believe this? First it was Patsy Ramsey, then her husband, then her son, then blah, blah, blah. The poor woman is dead of cancer and here comes someone else with a murder theory. The Colorado police screwed this up so thoroughly, it will most likely never be solved.

Do they? I've heard of the finger of suspicion being pointed at the brother or the father.
But I suppose becuase it's one of those crimes in which there is no obvious suspect. I'd like to think it was a stranger.
Actually someone in my church woke up on morning to find her child dead, strangled in her bed by a burglar. And that's never been solved, either. And I don't think they've ever pointed the finger at the family, though.

I dont know who did it. I guess I would suspect the mother and have but only suspect because no one knows. I think this case should finally be just put to rest. Both Mom and daughter are gone and there is nothing left to do.Only God, Jon Benet and the person who murdered her will ever know what really happened I think.

I always thought that Patsy did something to JonBenet. I heard that the little girl wet the bed and Patsy went crazy. It was a gut feeling from the beginning.
