Take the London car bomb scare, for example.

An ambulance comes to rescue someone who, by coincidence, had a seizure a block away from the car bomb.

Then, by coincidence the parameds walk all the way near that car and notice fumes inside it.

The police is called, the bomb squad comes and find a giant pipe bomb with a cell phone as a detonator.

They disassemble it, which takes well over an hour, with cameras all around, and no one calls the phone.

If you buy all that, you must be truly gullible.

The media is well known for bending the truth and applying political and social pressure to a scrutinized group of individuals. Yet do not doubt the forces which truly wish to demolish the ways of western societies, they do indeed exist, yet not in such absurd numbers as the media would wish us to believe. It occured during the incarceration of Japanese during World War II and to the Anarchists and Socialists who were fought against during the turn of the century. Governments tend to attack a full population of people where only a few are responsible to protect the lives of it's civilians, even though it reaps away these individuals civil liberties (Patriot Act, anyone?) Whether you believe in these measures or not is your opinion, but personally I find that if we must detach ourselves from the moral code we have created a country on, then the measures are not worth it.
To answer your question, which I'm not sure what it is, governments, no matter how benevolent and "protect the freedoms of the world" they may be, they will use immoral and what some may consider evil tactics to destroy evil, which is both saddening and maddening to how it sullies the good names of these nations.

The story sounds dumb, because it was a fluke find. If they didn't see the smoke and get curious than it would have gone off killing people and guys like you would still blame the government for planting it. There are millions of people in london, the odds are quite good that someone would ahve a medical emergency near the car. A city block isn't very far one of the paramedics likely thought he saw something and wandered over for a better look. Trust me, you can see smoke from a tiny fire over a mile off I do it a lot where I live.

Oh, the plot was real. The hype surrounding it hilarious, and the funny about this is...?

Neither the US nor the Brits had forewarning of it.
