Kate McCann quoted 'this is my job now' (fighting child trafficking) - how can this be her 'new job' when she won't listen to someone who allegedly has information about Madeleine, her very own child?.

nicola155733 - yes, i am a parent, not perfect but at least have more common sense than the mccann's where child safety is concerned.
when we are on holiday we are there as a family and do child friendly activities and not put our kid under someone else's supervision.
My point is any parent in a situation such as this would want to know every detail about the investigation whether it's positive or negative.
For the McCann's not wanting to speak to the guy because of being 'advised' not too is simple crap cause as a parent and a mother I would still want too, for peace of mind and to reassure myself, 'I LEFT NO STONE UNTURNED'.
And nicola luv, you should get a life and perhaps kids and maybe you'll be dancing to a different tune.

I keep thinking that nothing the McCanns do anymore could shock me...then they do something else and Im shocked all over again!
We shouldnt be surprised that they wont have this meeting, after all, they havnt bothered to go to Malta where 29 sightings of Madeleine have been reported, but it is incredible really. I would follow ANY lead, no matter how obscure, and meet ANYONE, no matter who they are, if I thought for one second it might lead me to my child.
What is with all this "No stone unturned" bollox? They are doing NOTHING, nothing at all, to find their Daughter. How can anyone carry on defending them? Are you afraid you will loose face if you admit that they arnt doing everything they can? Be a bigger person and admit these Parents are NOT behaving like normal loving parents!
Wouldnt any one of us here who are Parents meet with this man, if it could possibly help? I know I would!
Please, save your sympathy for someone who deserves it, like Madeleine! Name one CONCRETE thing the McCanns have done to get their Daughter back! Just one! One that doesnt benefit THEM financially. One that doesnt enable them to travel ONLY to places they want to see, like the Shrine of Fatima, or to visit The Pope.
They wont go to Malta or meet with this man because they KNOW whats happened to Madeleine, or they dont WANT this circus to end!
hang on..How come they are saying now that they wont meet him or talk to him, yet back
a few weeks ago, they were saying the total opposite, that they WANTED to meet him, but that he wouldnt? They apparently asked him questions but he "refused to answer" and "drove them up the wall". So which is it...did they want to meet him or not? Did he try to contact them or not?
Sooooo many lies!!!

The Toscano thing is yet another weird bit of this story. There are differing views on him and the history of his 'contact' or lack of it with the McCanns is a whole saga on its own. He claims the child could have been 'bought' long before the family arrived in Portugal, while still in the UK, for a sum far in excess of anything offered as a reward. He says he knows who the abductor is and where Madeleine is, but won't tell anybody but the McCanns directly.
I don't know why they won't meet him. Or even if they have said they won't meet him. Or whether the guy Toscano is a famous Spanish nutcase. Or whether he is the Poirot of child abduction cases and has all the answers. There is a view that he is a hoaxer.
Toscano is is supposed to be a regular collaborator of special units of Spanish Police Force, in charge of the investigation of 'satanic sects'. Yet it has been reported that the Spanish police claim not to know him.
I think this story has been around for more than two weeks and was interrupted by the Dutch Map Theory.
Now it's back ...

No, i don't. announcing 'teach it' each 5 minutes is going to convince no person of his innocence. in the event that they're the two making use of the proper same words, then there's a risk that they have got rehearsed it. I agree, if it became my newborn, i may well be doing each little thing i ought to to help the PJ, not antagonising them and hindering the learn. i ask your self why the British media, and the McCanns, have not stated this documentary? certainly it somewhat is greater 'ridiculous and ludicrous accusations?' i easily desire I had seen that, because of the fact all I even have seen so some distance is McCann propaganda from the British media. each physique desires to pay attention the two facets, not ridiculous excuses and PR spins.

The McCanns never appeared as the normal greiving parents that would be fraught if their cherished child has disappeared...
the cold face and British stiff upper lip has only bought them suspicion across the globe...
it was inevitable that these people who had a high profile case and sought attention from the Pope and other media organisations would take up some further role in the truer wider context...about child trafficking ..they were bent on escaping the obvious which was self blame and their own part in this and turn their attention to the general issue of child exploitation....even though there are already many charities who up until the McCanns holiday were campaigning for this cause already...
the way the McCanns have embarked on this type of career is the same way that nobodys appear on Big Brother and the Apprentice to start their high profile careers in the media...
but the fact that this surrounds her own childs disappearance is rather sad....if that is not child exploitation in itself and enough...but fellows wait for the book and the film and the tv programmes to come out and the anniversarys...

I have been a so-called "supporter" of the mccanns, in that I think the way they are keeping their daughter's profile in the media is great, etc, etc, however I don't think it would have done any harm to meet with this man, if he has evidence, after all it's more than the portugese police have. I have been looking at briansdreams.com, right from the start he has said Madeleine has been taken by someone who does this for a living, so it would make sense. if the parents were just to listen for once it might help, do they want another "if only".....?

They don't want to meet him because they know his information is wrong. The McCanns know exactly what happened to Madeleine that night and are engaged in a huge cover-up operation.

I guess Antonio Toscano or his publisher would make big bucks out of this story.
The McCanns would want all money generated, because of their tragedy, to go to their 'search fund'.
Has Antonio Toscano given his information to the police?
* daisy - thanks for letting me know that he has. I just hope and pray that Madeleine WILL be found alive and well, and I feel the popstar treatment given by the press to the McCanns is appalling.

The Portuguese police are taking this journalist seriously.
Please provide a link or name your source re: that the parents are not taking this seriously, they are right to let the police vet this man's theory before talking to him, logical I would have thought !.

It's been well reported that this guy's helped rescue something like 14 out of 15 kids in Europe from this gang. Sadly they were too late with one little girl.
Here's hoping there's some truth in this and that Madeleine is safe.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who want to know what he has to say, even if the McCanns don't.

For those of you that wrote he should give it to the police...they police will not see him either. I think Gerry knows it will cut into his fundraising time and he knows where she is so why meet with someone he knows wont tell him anything. This just adds to what I have been thinking all along...Gerry is not going to wasted his time with something he knows is not going to help because he may already know the "Frenchman" doesnt have her.
