Ratings and book sales. Controversy sells and it seems the ruder you are, the more people that tune in to see what happens next. The only truly unfortunate thing about that is when people take them seriously and stop thinking for themselves. Anne Coulter would be just another faceless entity without the mindless clones that need someone else to think for them...

Ann Coulter is actually very smart but she has started to become a caricature of herself by spouting controversial statements-probably for publicity and/or money. She was a lot nicer a few years ago. That being said, Elizabeth Edwards came across as petty.

She is quite simply a fanatical right wing extremist, there is not a heart nor soul which live within her, she would be comparable to an inanimate object such as "ice" just occupying space without any human contribution there does not seem to be any human characteristics present. Her forked tongue is rather offensive, it is shameful she continues to be given a platform. I believe Democrat or Republican one should conduct ones self with some kind of self respect, she displays an obvious self hatred. She should donate her brain to science. My god the scientific contribution alone could make a slight dent in her may transgressions. Can you imagine what with her brain being the equivalent of a lab rodent, as well as same size. What a case study ! There could not be much use for her otherwise. To attack the Edwards family by mocking the death of their son is below sea level. She is scummy.

She seems to be a very cold, heartless, hateful person. She does it, not because she really believes what she is saying, (at least in my opinion) but because it gets her noticed and sells her books.
